The Expansion Pack is still very much enjoyable, even if it's less 'complete' compared to other PCM Daily DBs (from earlier games) because of the fact that a lot has changed for PCM 11 (accessories, equipment, jerseys).. Look at the downloads: there are 12k for the Exp Pack and less than 2k on Fenian's Add On. However I'm pretty sure that these 10k people did also enjoy the game.
I really can't see how a couple of equipment and some new races can avoid you from enjoying the game, especially since it'll be for less than 2 days (unless you're not downloading the 2012 DB, which would be quite strange).
Looking at the screen you posted on page 1, there's nothing wrong with your installation.
Road Race
12 frames on World Tour
5 frames on Standard Frames 1
5 frames on SF 2
6 frames on SF 3
7 frames on SF 4
6 frames on SF 5
= 41 frames for Road Race
Time Trial
3 frames on World Tour
3 frames on Standard Frames 1
4 frames on SF 2
3 frames on SF 3
3 frames on SF 4
2 frames on SF 5
= 19 frames for Time Trial
41 + 19 = 59 frames
Since you have already downloaded the Exp Pack, if you wait until the 2012 DB you'll only need to download the update from Exp Pack to V1. You can also save time by downloading the update from Exp Pack to Public Beta now, and then when the '12 DB is released, you'll only need to download the Public Beta to V1 update.
Concerning the 'easy to install' part, the PCM Daily DB comes with an .exe file (while there are a lot of DBs which don't, and you have to manually place the files). How can it be easier? If you know a way, please tell us The only thing you have to take care when installing the Daily DB is look if the directory is correct, that's all (since the folder name can change depending on the language of your game).
The Expansion Pack is very incomplete.
Look, the team had 1 month and a half from the release of the game to the release of the pack. And a lot had changed: they had to add a popularity value for all riders, add region (not country, like in previous games) for all riders (about 3.100 btw), the jersey makers had to adapt to the PCM 11 style of jerseys, they had to recreate the accessories since they also changed, add as most custom sponsors as possible (ended in about 240 custom sponsors), convert all stages that would be used from PCM 10 to PCM 11, and finally convert wheels, helmets, and start from 0 regarding frames, since they weren't in any way compatible from the previous games. Now, if you take a look, all the people behind the DB do this in their free times - and obviously for free as well.
Another thing is - stage makers? There are a lot. Shirt makers? There are even more! But equipment makers? 7 are listed in the Expansion Pack Credits. And they needed to adapt themselves and create as much stuff as possible in little time.
I can assure you that lots of work and effort have been put into the Expansion Pack. It's great, even if it's not as complete as the Daily DBs in previous games were, but that definitely doesn't ruin the gameplay.
As you said:
"I want to get a single database and have everything as much as possible"
It's impossible to add something to the game which isn't done, or, in this case, wasn't done by then
Well, the 2012 DB will be much more 'complete'. Because all the jerseys are now in PCM 11 format, the equipment makers have released a lot of stuff already and there are much more stages for PCM 11. The PCM Daily 2012 DB (if I can leak this, CrueTrue - if not, delete at first sight ) will have 151 frames. I hope that is better
Please don't take this to the critical side, I'm just showing you that a lot had to be done for the PCM Daily DB - as usual. Several people have put a good amount of time and effort into it, to develop the ever brilliant DBs of PCM Daily. Sorry if it lacks some things, but the team added as much stuff as possible.
Well that's it, sorry for the long text. Now let's wait for the 2012 DB to be released
Besides, I don't know much details since I didn't play the game back then, but it appears that the PCM Spain Packs for PCM 06 and 07 were among the great DBs.
Yes, in 2 days the 2012 DB will be released.
As for the database you need to have for the 2012 DB, any of them. There'll be releases updating from Expansion Pack to 2012 DB, from Pre-Beta to 2012 DB (maybe, maybe not) and Public Beta to 2012 DB. So you can have any of the releases so far, and there'll very likely be an update from that release to 2012 DB.
However, as I said, if you want to save some time, you can already download the 2012 DB Public Beta (last release). Then the download to update for the 2012 DB will be smaller than if you had to download Exp Pack -> 2012 DB update.
