Okay i got my recording to be a ogg file. Now i go and put that in the game folder and have the name just like the other names that are in the game already? Okay but i only have one recording and that recording is just a finishing recording not an attacking recording etc.

Quizzor
Now what do i do?? Do i go on PCM fast editor(that is what i have) and under the sound name i put in the riders name or the recording name that i saved as?

And what does all of the commentary files stand for?Attaque=Attack? Chute= ??? Defaillance name= ?? Contre name=??? FinVictoire Name = Finish Name? Finish victorie solitaire= Solo victory??

Okay i did that i have the sound name column matching the riders last name and the recording/file name is just an finish victory name. I only tested it once and it did not work so i think i messed something up. I am going to test it one more time to see if it will work

Attaque = attack
Chute = fall
Contre name = counter attack
Crevaison name = puncture
Defaillance name = has trouble (keeping with the pace)
FinVictoire Name = win in sprint
Finish victorie solitaire = solo win

You just have to hear the files, then it's easy to know what it means.

Hm, worked fine for me. I only put that file in 'names' folder, gave the word 'Gelling' to any rider in gene_sz_soundname and kept attacking 'till I heard it.

A fact was (or is), the audio is pretty low, I just heard some mumble. To heard it clear, I had to put Effects and Music audio to 0, commentary to 100 (I normally have it in 40, and can clearly listen) and turn the PC volume up. Maybe it is being said, but it should be louder.

Edit: well, I should have refreshed the page before writing the comment. KenL was 16 minutes faster, and still corrected both DB and file =P

Okay i got the files you adjusted. But when i try to open them it just goes to windows media. Idk if that is right or not. But i suppose for my other recordings i want to do i should adjust my mic volume?? This was just a test recording to. I really did not want this recording to go on the game i was just using it as a sample so that i can learn and see what you are talking about. So that i could learn how to do it my self and create my actual recordings. Otherwise when you were looking at my recording and files was everything right??

Quizzor
I cant open the file you sent me because it is a Rar or something like that it is not a ogg file. And what do i have to do in order for my recordings to work better??? Just speak up?? I think the problem with this recording is i am to quite. But other then that i think i have it figured out.

Quizzor
Okay i tried making another recording and i made this one way louder than my previous one and i still did not hear my recording. I am starting to wonder if i have files or something in the wrong spot

Quizzor
Okay i have my documents/Pro cycling manager 2010 season/ cyanide/pro cycling manager 2010/sound/comment/eng/names. And as for my data base i have GellingC in the sound name colmn. This is really getting frustrating. I am sorry this is not going as smooth as i thought it would.

lluuiiggii
First of all, you mean 'Program Files' instead of 'My Documents' right?

Second, KenL gave you both files, DB, and told (more than once) where to put the files. What can the problem be right now?

Quizzor
No i have it in my documents and not program files. Should i have them in both??

Quizzor
okay i do have cyanide program in my program files but it has x86. And another thing i don't have the recordings in that x86 so i am going to copy and put them in there and see if i can here it.

You have to place the files here:

KenL wrote:
C:/Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2010/Sound/Comment/eng/NAMES

I moved the files to exactly to the way you told me to. but in my regular program files i don't have my created data base in there and i am still able to use my data base. Or i just don't need my data base in the program file to work?

lluuiiggii
Database -> My Documents
Files -> Program Files

Ok, so here is exactly what to do:
1 - Download KenL's attached file on page 2.
2 - Extract it with WinRAR (right button -> Extract To).
3 - Open the folder that you've downloaded. There will be 2 files: Wissota_V1.cdb and Gelling_Attaque-01. One is a database (.cdb file) and the other, your sound file (.ogg).
4 - Copy the sound file to:
C:/Program Files/Cyanide/Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2010/Sound/Comment/eng/NAMES
5 - Copy the Database to:
My Documents/Pro Cycling Manager 2010/Database.
6 - Inside the game, go to Options -> Database, and choose Wissota_V1 (the one you've just downloaded and put into 'my docs' ).

Now, if you play and keep attacking, you'll hear it. Hopefully now you can do it =)

Okay there is an error when i download. When i download it and it opens then an error pops up. Error importing- Audacity did not recognize the type of this file. If it is uncompressed,try importing it using import raw

Quizzor
Gosh i don't understand why this is so difficult. I thought this was going to be easy just make some recordings export as ogg files and be done. Oh and have the database correct. I just don't get why i am have such a difficult time for the game to read the recording. I am sorry if this is getting to be annoying believe me i am sick of this not working to Sad

Quizzor
Alright i have been playing around with this some more. And i created one more recording for a different rider but to no avail. So i am starting to believe that the game is not sensing it or my mic is not load enough. I am more then positive it is not the game because there is a couple of times when i attack and it goes dead silent. When it goes silent i think my recordings are be announced and i just cant hear them. Like Kenny_L said my mics quality is good and i think that might because my mic is so quite. I am really hoping i can figure this out tomorrow. I feel like i am getting closer and closer to solving this problem. So please don't stop helping me.

Audacity? What does it has to do with my 'instructions'?
