Crazy Time Trail

After yesterdays hard mountains stage it was time for a crazy time trail. Up and down and some sharp bends. My goal for today was to take the lead in the youth classifications from my team-mate Gatto.
img703.imageshack.us/img703/7669/pcm0027.jpg

My legs wasn't the best. However I took the lead, but then Gatto came. And after Gatto came Schleck. In the end I was 4th and climbed to 5th overall.
img222.imageshack.us/img222/8195/pcm0033.jpg

Like yesterday Gatto bragged over the podium girls. And with only one flatstage left he have secured his victory in the Youth classifications.

Easy ride

Not much happend on the last stage of Oman. A breakaway of five cyclist suceed to break clear even how hard our team chased. Pavlic had also told us that his legs wasn't the best so wasn't sure how hard we should chase.
img859.imageshack.us/img859/1327/pcm0039.jpg

Pavlic did a great sprint but he only reached the break.
img196.imageshack.us/img196/1365/pcm0042q.jpg

I finished 70th on the stage and 5th overall. 2nd in the Youths.

Subject: Programme March

I have looked at your results from Oman and I am very IMpressed Ronald! Your not in best shape an even you managed 5th! Your lowest level seems very high! In March we have decided to send you to 2 pro-tour races; Paris-Nice and Volta Catalunya. You should aim at stage victory. Maybe you will also lead your team at Catalunya if the course isn't to hilly. I will have a closer look at it and send you the profiles later today.

Race to the Sun

Right now I am sitting at my hotel room in Provins with my room/team mate Geraint Thomas and talking about Paris-Nice and tomorrows first stage. THe stage tomorrow is 7 km long. A prologue? No it is a road stage! Shock Sounds crazy. However my goal here at P-N is to finish in the top 10 on the stage to Montbriso, which is a very hard mountain stage.
img849.imageshack.us/img849/6632/vichymontbrison.jpg

Löfkvist is our leader and Breschel our sprinter, it is only 3 flat stages though. The big threats in the GC is Emanuelle Sella, who has had a great spring with victories in Mallorca and Giro di Sardagna (we all now why he is that great but whatever). LL Sanchëz is always doing great in P-N.We will also watch out for riders like van Garderen and Dekker

Short and Fast

An old clubmate in the U.S always said "short and fast, thats how I like it". I never understood what he was talking about but let's hope it was how he subscribed the most effective way of training. Or was talking abou this stage?
img189.imageshack.us/img189/7581/pcm0005m.jpg

7.5 km hilly road stage. The french went bananas and attacked from the start. The only non-french who could follow was Geraint Thomas.
img194.imageshack.us/img194/8494/pcm0009b.jpg

It was also a lot of crashes. Lars Boom, who was supposed to work for Breschel crashed but he didn't lost any time.
img190.imageshack.us/img190/9039/pcm0011w.jpg

Geraint had a great finish unlike the french riders and managed to win the stage. Behind Breschel, led out by Kreder won the bunch sprint.
img6.imageshack.us/img6/5140/pcm0013x.jpg

A Lampre rider crashed in front of me in the last km but I didn't rode into him and finished 64th.

The race to the sun goes on and on

I have not much to say about stage 2 of Paris-Nice- It was a pretty boring stage from Troyes to Dijon. I was working a bit little for the team but when Europcar came and took over the chase I decided to take it easy a bit down in the peleton instead.
img820.imageshack.us/img820/1404/pcm0018.jpg

Thomas and Boom was perpered to do the lead out for Breschel but for some reason Breschel didn't take thir wheels. Maybe he was tired? Probably nor because when the sprint started he managed to reach 3rd from his bad posistion. Thomas was 4th in the leaders jersey.
img35.imageshack.us/img35/5359/pcm0020.jpg

The win was taken by Alan Pérez! Never herad about him before, a real suprise for me. I wasn't even sprinting today and finished 129th.

Edvald Boason Hagen won Omaloop Het Volk. Romain Zingle (Silence-Lotto) finished 2nd!

This was Edvald's 3rd victory and he was joining the legends

He was also close to winnig the Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne but he had a puncture with 0.1 km to go. Instead his lead-out man Thomas won.

My worst day ever (on the bike)

Uhh! My shape is really bad at the moment. And the weather in France is really bad. I was unlucky today too, first I had to chase the breakaway vey hard then I crashed. However I am not injured and I can continue the race to the sun.
img861.imageshack.us/img861/6563/pcm0002.jpg

But getting back to peleton took on my powers and I had to drop.

My team mates was in better mood and Breschel won the stage after an impressive lead out by Boom and Thomas.
img84.imageshack.us/img84/5237/pcm0008z.jpg

I finished on . Better luck on next stage? No probably not. My whole body is hurting after the crash and the hard work.

Disappointed

I had big expectation on this mountain stage...
img849.imageshack.us/img849/6632/vichymontbrison.jpg

... but for some reason my shape really sucks at the moment and my crash yesterday didn't made thing better. I hade to drop the bunch in the first big climb.
img819.imageshack.us/img819/1557/pcm0013b.jpg

Let's forget me for a while because while i dropped a break with van Garderen and Caruso gained a huge gap. As most it was 5 minutes.
img819.imageshack.us/img819/7291/pcm0012f.jpg

The were catch in the second last climb after a hard pace by Euskaltel.
img27.imageshack.us/img27/498/pcm0015n.jpg

The paced continued and Löfkvist tried to breakaway at the last climbed. He was caught in the downhill.
img856.imageshack.us/img856/3420/pcm0016.jpg

In the sprint he just sitted at LL Sanchez wheel. Sanchez seems unbeatable in this years Paris-Nice. He also took the leader jersey from Thomas.
img696.imageshack.us/img696/9884/pcm0018m.jpg

I won the sprint in the gruppetto even if I wasn't sprinting Shock

Can you imagine that this stage neded in a bunch sprint with 200 rider? And LL Sanchéz won? I pretty tired at the AI so I am thinking to end this story. However I got a save game on PCM 09 were I also have reached 2013 and have some talents so my question is if you want me to continue with this type of story when I am following one talented rider on his way to the stars?

This Paris-Nice stage is a really bad one, don't blame it on the AI Wink I've played exactly the same stage in my career. The climbs are bad (with ups and downs).

@tsmoha, I will continue. P-N is always like this. LL Sanche have been 2-1-1 the last three years.

Just because we know how strong LL is our team decided to put a rider in the break today. The profile was good for a break.

Kreder and Thomas tried to breakaway. At last Breschel tried and his try succeed! The gap grown fast and reached 11 minutes. Breschel was 3'50 behind todays stage.

Thge Euskaltel started the chase. Since my crash my daily form is -5 so i dropped immediately.

The break with Brechel wnt clear and Breschel had no problems to win the stage... Would he also take the yellow?

Behind the peleton arraives to the finish and John Gadret wins the sprint ahead of Thomas. And of course LL Sanchez, who else?
img852.imageshack.us/img852/522/pcm0008.jpg

I arrived to finish all alone and finished 158th.

Even though my bad result I was happy when I heard about Breschel's stage win. And the I also was told that he had taken the yellow leader jersey! Nice!

An easy day?

img171.imageshack.us/img171/333/pcm0026a.jpg

Yes todays race looked easy. And it would have been easy if it had been in shape because Kessiakoff was in the break today so we didn't had to chase the breakaway. There was no big hills either.
img695.imageshack.us/img695/1554/pcm0015x.jpg

I dropped first of all riders today. Such a shame. I am happy for not qutting or missing the time limit because I need this race for my shape.
img27.imageshack.us/img27/8817/pcm0019.jpg

Breschel was a bit tired after yesterdays break and even if he got a great lead out by Boom and Thomas he only anaged 4th. Boom was stronger today. He finshed 4th altough he had started the leadout with 6 kms to go. Heinrich Haussler won.

I finshed 173th with only two rider behind me Sad

Bug?

Really wanted to play this stage as I know that if I play defensive Breschel will win. Tried to load the stage three times, without any succes so i decided to simulate and Breschel lost a lot of time. However I could play the stage of Tirreno-Adriatico later so it must have been something wrong with this stage?

Who won? Everbody who guess right will get a hug next time I see them Grin
