Garmin has put together a very strong team there. Hushovd Haussler could be a dangerous partnership... especially in the late game.
But Spartacus (Cancellara) is obviously the favourite. Everyone is making a big deal about how "fatigued" he was at Ronde. Well after effort he made, which by the way almost destroyed the field, who wouldn't be?
But he'll have learnt his mistake (going to early) and will be disappointed after getting third. This is his speciality event. Watch him play it smart. He'll keep pace and then attack near the end. Grind them down like only he can. |

Cancellara will be tired after such a huge effort. I think he'll have trouble getting rid of Boonen at Roubaix.
Boonen is not going to do anything as stupid as he did last year and drop to the back of any group to let Cancellara blast off the front.
Probably someone else will win the race - a non-team leader - someone like Geraint Thomas perhaps? |

I have Hincapie as my dark horse. He looked good in RvV, but will probably lose out in a group sprint unless he solos. The race will most likely end in a small group sprint of about 4 or 5 who got away from a bigger group. In that case a sprinter like Boonen or Hushovd will take the win, that is if they're present...... |

That would be my dream =D
Hoping for Cancellara, but not sure if he can do it after all the efforts yesterday. Maybe another less favorite like RvV? Just hope it'll be an exciting race to watch =]

Yeah I want Hincapie to win. He is still a good cobbler but I think he is one of the most deserved of a Paris Roubaix victory.
And back to reality, I think Cancellara wins, Rollin a top 10 finish.

That must be a very Canadian reality |

I disagree. Did you see how easily Cancellara rode away from Boonen? Plus, you make it seem as though Boonen won't be tired at all. Also, I find it unlikely that a week's recovery isn't enough for Cancellara to recover.

5th @ KBK 2010
16th @ OHN 2011
3rd @ Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen 2011 Stage 2 and 4th in Final GC (no clue if its a cobble race but it sounded like it)
10th @ Dwars Door Vlaanderen 2011
15th @ RvV 2011
Plus he is really showing he can sprint now, so if he ends in a large group he could finish first in that group.
Edit: And he's much better on the flat.

Yeah, but my guess is that he'll be still inside the top-25. Seems to be developing as a nice cobbled classic rider/sprinter. |

And I disagree again.
Roubaix is flatter which I think is better for Boonen. My feeling is also that he will be peaking next weekend, Cancellara great though he is I think peaked over the last 2 weekends. Will do well to hold the kind of form he has into a 3rd weekend. We'll see though.... |

And I disagree (again ).
Spartacus put in his attack on the flat, just before the Leberg. When they got there, Boonen was completely dead, unable to follow Cancellara as he accelerated past Boom and Hagen.
But I accept your points about peaking (even though I'm not 100% sure Fabian has peaked, that's just how good he is ), and can't wait to see what happens.

My guess is eleventh. Would be really funny if Hincapie nips him at the the line for tenth. I want a North American to do really well, but no sure if any others except those two. |

did you see yesterdays race or???
Yeah, that's what I meant, only in yesterdays race they had serious chances. Earlier in the season they barely showed themselves. |

He did look good, but in my opinion he got very lucky but he rode smart. First if not Thomas, Hincapie would nver get to Flecha/Boonen group. He basically follwed him (wheelsucked). Then if not again Thomas the Flecha/Boonen/Hincapie group would not caught the Cance group. Though overall, I hope the same

top rider with to shape (Cancellara, Boonen) can shake Vlaanderen off he's back after a week.
Better tactic and there will be no rivals for Cancellara.. |

I agree , I wonder with he attacked so far from the end in the RvV , was it because of Chavanel ? |

so Leopard drilling the pace, and then a 50km time trial then?
maybe he might go for 40km (or whenever Boonen drops back) |

drilling the pace with what riders? 100 km of the line in the RVV half his team had trouble keeping up :/
prevent hangovers --> stay drunk
pozzato, basically the most stupid cyclist around
RIP WW. Gone but not forgotten
