Favourites: Visconti (ISD), Nibali (LIQ), Feillu (VAC), Kreuziger (LIQ), Carrara (VAC)

Stage briefing: Vincenzo Nibali wants to take this stage. It is for him - big mountain and then downhill to finish. :-)

During the stage:

First try to breakaway was about 10 kms after start, but our team covered all riders' try.

Then we ocupated top of the peloton and made pace.

Daniele Bennati taked both of intermediate sprints. He demonstrated excellent performance.

But at single climb of the day there was all peloton. :-( We tried tear it, and in the top of climb there was only 17 riders in first group. In the top Nibali tried to attack, but it was discarded.

In the finish arrived 17 riders in first group and Massime Codol taked the sprint.

Peloton arrived 2'03'' after the first group!

Agree. Nibali and Kreuziger in an excellent position for the next stages. Also a stage win with Bennati is possible.

Do you use dot on mountains ? On this stage it would been helpful on downhill as if you attacked with Nibali on downhill then used dot I think you could have won. But nice results and keep them comin Smile

I used dot with Nibali Wink dot and 90%.... Wink
