Yeh, a few teams have already applied to races that clash with each other (e.g Suisse and Dauphine)

If a team search for all protour races 300.000. should you then register it on the transfer sheet paper? and then send the transfer sheet to SN again? |

Its easier for me to just add it on to the transfer sheet myself

Any managers who have yet to submit their wildcards applications, must do so soon.

And lets start with the big races.
Grand Tours
Well, 6 teams in total applied for 1 or more of the Grand Tours, and with 6 spots available, this guaranteed a place each. 5 of the 6 will be riding a Grand Tour for the first time.
Giro d'Italia
Wiggle - San Pellegrino Their 2nd Giro, with Cataldo and Ponzi set to lead the team
Vespa - Caffrey's An all Italian squad is predicted, as the organisers opt for 2 Italian wildcards
Vuelta a Espana
Santander No surprises that the all-Spanish squad will make their Grand Tour debut in the Vuelta, with David Abal leading
Youtube - Twitter Franco Pellizotti and Igor Anton are expected to lead this squad here in Spain
Tour de France
Team IKEA - Bianchi Rein Taaramae will receive his Grand Tour debut at the Tour de France, in a strong team that also includes Jose Alarcon and Gustav Larsson
Bbox Bouygoues Telecom The French sponsor returns to the biggest race in the game, having won here with Moreau when sponsoring a different team in 2007. Thomas Voeckler and Mikel Astarloza will be two key figures
Monuments
Like the Grand Tours there are 2 places available for wildcards. But selection was somewhat easier for me, as only 2 teams applied for each race. One team will infact ride all 5!
Milano - SanRemo
Wiggle - San Pellegrino Ponzi will lead their strong hilly team, while they also bring Luke Rowe in case of a bunch sprint
Vespa - Caffrey's Francesco Ginanni and Gert Steegmans provide a strong co-leadership to this race for Vespa
Ronde van Vlaanderen
100% Me Adam Blythe will make his Flanders debut, with the able support of Geraint Thomas
Vespa-Caffreys Steegmans and Evert Verbist both took a Top 15 placing last year, and both will hope for better riding on home soil
Paris-Roubaix
100% Me After a great 5th last year, can Blythe battle past the ProTour stars and improve to a podium this year?
Vespa-Caffreys Steegmans and Verbist will once again be present
Liege-Bastogne-Liege
Vespa - Caffrey's Ginanni will be here of course, looking to be a thorn in the hopes of all the ProTour contenders
Wiggle - San Pellegrino Ponzi heads a full strength team that also includes the likes of Ignatiev, Hermans and Caruso
Giro di Lombardia
Vespa - Caffreys Highly prioritised by the team, so much so that Ginanni will skip the potentially important Japan Cup HC race to ride here
Wiggle - San Pellegrino There is no such sacrifice for Ponzi however, and in his absence, Nocentini will lead the Wiggle squad

Stage Races
Many of these wildcards were hotly contested, and many races were hard to choose from a number of teams.
Tour of Qatar
Probably the hardest choice for me. 7 teams interested, of which 4 had this race down as their first choice.
Milka Ultimately I had to go for the strongest sprinting options, and of those who applied, this honour goes to Milka with 3 80+ sprinters, including Thor Hushovd and Jimmy Casper
Tirreno-Adriatico
Wiggle - San Pellegrino A strong line up, with all of the team's stars: Ponzi, Cataldo, Ignatiev, and Caruso included.
Paris-Nice
YouTube - Twitter Franco Pellizotti is likely to lead here, being strong in both the mountains and the hills
Volta Ciclista a Catalunya
Red Bull Konstantin Siutsou is their leading GC rider, as they receive the nod to make their ProTour debut here
Criterium International
Tinkoff Credit Systems - Rosneft Artem Ovechkin will definately ride, but organisers also hope that Kolobnev and Kiryenka will be sent by the Russian squad
Vuelta al Pais Vasco
Santander JJ Cobo is expected to lead, with strong support from Abal, Lopez Garcia and sprinter Ventoso
Tour of Romandie
Team Falcon-Husqvarna Theo Eltink and Johnny Hoogerland will be the teams leaders here
Tour of California
Santander Surprisingly no interest from the American contingent - and as the only applicant, Santander get the ride - and should bring another strong line up in what could be valuable Vuelta preperation for them
FBD Éire Tour
Team Pokerstars.com A strong lineup including Germans Roger Kluge and Erik Mohs, plus Dutchman Stef Clement, will be seen in this Irish race which the team game top wildcard priority to
Criterium du Dauphine Libere
Bacardi - Colt Many top ProTour riders will be relieved at his absence from races such as the Giro, but there will be no escape from Riccardo Ricco in the Dauphine, with Kirchen providing support
Tour de Suisse
UBS - Annie Chun's Francisco Perez Sanchez cost a lot, and here is his chance to shine on a ProTour level still. Look out also for Stefan Schumacher
Vuelta a Asturias
Tinkoff Credit Systems - Rosneft The Russian team win the battle to ride this mountainous race, and will field Evgeni Petrov as leader, along with young Russians Kunshin and Kritskiy
Deutschland Tour
Sport Lisboa e Benfica Jurgen Van den Broeck will lead the team, who could cause havoc in the mountain stage with the likes of Florentino Marquez
Northern Europe Tour
Team IKEA-Bianchi With Flugel to target the hilly aspects, and the strong combination of Vanspeybrouck and Albert for the cobbles, IKEA pose a potentially strong threat here

Disappointed that I don't get Catalunya but the Vuelta and Pais Vasco is pretty pleasing.
Also California? , didn't think I had a hope but figured why not so thats a very pleasant surprise.

Hoping I got into the classics I applied to.
And isn't Sport Lisboa e Benifica Portuguese? I don't know, but it would be strange for them to be Spanish. |

Classics
Less popular than stage races, despite the cheaper price. The Eindhoven TTT and Individual TT (likely to be Herbiers still) received no applications, and thus, no continental team will be present.
Omloop Het Nieuwsblad
Team Falcon-Husqvarna The strength of their cobbles team is irrelevant, for they were the only team interested in this race
Strade Bianche (Eroica)
Vespa-Caffrey's The Italian team will enter the Italian race, but with a Belgian leader. Steegmans hoping to put behind him his bad luck in this race last year
Rund um Koln
Wiggle - San Pellegrino Mikhail Ignatiev will be a dangerous threat in this race, but Wiggle also bring a stronger puncheur in Ponzi, and a strong sprinter in Luke Rowe
Gent - Wevelgem
Team Falcon-Husqvarna A great opportunity for the likes of Decouttere and Vangheel, while Magnus Backstedt makes what is likely to be his final ProTour appearance
Amstel Gold Race
Bacardi - Colt Riccardo Ricco is sure to terrorise the ProTour puncheurs here, along with his key support rider Kirchen
Fleche Wallone
Team LEGO Theyve built a strong team for the hills this year, and will receive plenty of home support here being led by Belgians Monfort and Claeys
Classique du Grand-Duché
Team LEGO Like above, we will see Claeys and Monfort take on their ProTour counterparts in Luxembourg here
Badaling International
Petronas - Olympus The likes of Matteo Carrara and Simon Gerrans will lead the team in China
Seine - Marne - Seine
EL AL The French Sylvains of Chavanel and Calzati will lead the team, hoping to benefit in this French race
GP de Fourmies
EL AL A second French race for the Israeli team. Aggression will be key though, as they lack a sprinter to match the ProTour stars in what could be a sprint finish
GP Yekeratinburg
Milka The first ever Russian race in the game, and our Wildcard brings a Russian contender to the race, with Aleksandr Efimkin

Yeh, theyre Portugese - a number of their best riders of Spanish though, which is my excuse for overlooking the whole Benfica aspect

Indeed, but I only got Stage Races Wildcards
It's also a shame that Tinkoff isn't in Qatar, We had an awesome TTT squad ready, including Markov and/or Trusov for the sprints!
As consolation the Amaury Sport Organisation gave Tinkoff a WC for Criterium International. But we might show up with 5 Stagaires, just to make a statement!

Do so and lose the wildcard to another team
But C.I. is too early in the season for stagiares anyway

I'm happy with the WC's i got, Dauphine Libere and Amstel are 2 awesome races. I am suprised i didn't get Asturias as Ricco would have gotten good results in it.
But like i said, Dauphine and Amstel are good enough, should be able to get good results in both, if not win one of them. If Ricco wins Amstel this year he will have won all 3 Ardenne Classics.

Red Bull cycling are delighted to be involved in a Protour race in particular the Volta which we feel we have an outside chance of snatching a stage win or at the very least being present toward the head of affairs from time to time.
great work once again SN! |

Yeah you really should be Setzel. It gives you a huge chance to get 3rd with Nibali hence doing superbly in all 3 GT's :-/
