French telly says 57:03 for the whole Ventoux today by Froome, which would be 409 W (for 70 kg ? or is that his actual Watts ?).
Anyway, the threshold of credibility are about 430 W/20 minute, 410 W/40-45 minutes and 390 W/60 minutes.
5 % above.
2004 Dauphine there was a Mont Ventoux ITT, Armstrong rode the entire Mont Ventoux there in 57:49. You can say it was the Dauphine and all that stuff to explain why it's slower, but still. Today they had a tough 220km at fast pace before the climb even. Would like to see the last 15.65km time of Froome today so I could properly compare it to the TdF times over the years though (can't find a list of the full climb times, help me ).
Mayo had a full time of 55:51 when he won that ITT in the Dauphine, that was a time of 45:47 over the last 15.65km. Pantani's record in the TdF is 46:00. Armstrong rode the last 15.65km in 48:33 in 2002 and 49:00 in 2009.
I stopped the time when Chavanel had been around the St. Esteve corner 15.65 km to go minus 1:20 he was in front of the peloton and got a time of 48:25. And as I have seen on TV they had crosswind on the last 2-3 km's. |

So, 1.30 faster than Armstrong in 2002? |

I have a solution for the doping problem.
After every stage, the yellow jersey wearer is fed through an industrial meat mincer.

For those of you who a few pages back were speaking of Bolt and Jamaican sprinters being 'proof of natural talent' or something, 4 jamaicans tested positive. Two are olympic medallist sprinters.
No names revealed yet.
Tyson Gay has also tested positive. Again.
