Imagine this: you've been racing on your bike for the last five days. Recuperating for the next day is getting harder and harder, as you feel the strain on your body for cycling so much. Nevertheless, you want win today's race, no matter what. You're preparing for a sprint to the line against some of the fastest people you've ever seen on a bike. You're not very well positioned, and most people would say you're too far back to ever get involved in the final sprint, let alone win the race. You almost need a miracle now. All you can do is follow the wheel of who's in front of you and hope for the best.
Given the choice, who would you like to see in front of you to follow?
This is a strange question because if I am not the best sprinter in the world, I cannot win against the fastest sprinters I have ever seen, no matter where I am positioned.
Also if I really want to win the race, I would make sure not to be so badly positioned in the first place.
But to answer the question: If the rider is from my own team, it should be Tony Martin. If not, it should be M. Cavendish.
"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong
Very interesting responses. As it was a riddle, the answer is of course unexpected. Manx, you were spot on.
The right answer is: A big fat man on his moped. But not just any man, but Joop Zijlaard on his derny, the most legendary derny rider in the recent history of track cycling, who retired in style yesterday, in his hometown of Rotterdam, during the Six-day race.
Zijlaard rode three last races on his derny yesterday, winning all three of them in style, racing past the opposition in the last round. Two of them can be seen in the video. The first was the kids race, where he drove together with his grandson who is dressed in a black outfit in the video.
The third and final one was a special race with some of cycling's icons: Michael Boogerd (yellow shirt, on Zijlaard's wheel in the video as well), Johan Museeuw, Didi Thurau, and Koos Moerenhout. The celebration ended with a speech of the Dutch Minister and former mayor of Rotterdam Ivo Opstelten, a double row by all cyclists in honour of Joop's retirement, and the auctioning of his derny for 12.500 euros, which will go to the Sofia Children's Hospital in Rotterdam for the child patients suffering from cancer. Zijlaard was made ambassador of the Six Days of Rotterdam as well.
I was lucky to witness all of it, after my girlfriend's father won free tickets in a newspaper contest If any of you guys ever have the opportunity to go to a track cycling event like this, I can strongly recommend it. Loads of fun.

At least after there'll be some time for man-game reports, doing stats for DB, begin modules for summer, cycling and without mentioning the obvious of social life...
Getting busier every year... :L

I just spent my first hours teaching a class (9-11 year-old's), well, not really teaching but co-teaching with their legitimate teacher What a hard profession, but so rewarding!

Depends on who you teach, you can easily get mad mad with some basterds.

I tried myself as a grinds teacher last year, and quickly came to the conclusion that I cant teach for shit! Neither as Grinds for school nor college...
Anywho,
I am looking into starting a new story. Not a Cycling Story, but something more along the lines of a heavily modified NFL Story... I drop one more hint: I has something to do with college teams.
But before I get anywhere near starting the project, I will have to tweak some minor stuff which the modding editor has not yet resolved...
But should all fail, I just start without logos and stadiums... Maybe said to much already...

That sounds awesome!!
Great that you are interested... Still have quite a few graphics to create (Sounds worse than it is. They are done rather quickly) and set everything up, but someone suggested an alternative editor which should make everything work perfectly fine...
Sorry for bringing this up again guys, but if you haven't liked my screenshot for the PCM Christmas event yet, please do so. I'm currently second, but the numbers 3 and 4 are closing in!
