2 reasons...

1- A great Story
2- The field in forum database for Post Views must be an integer of 16bits...
Min=0
Max=65535

2^16=65536!

+1, and not only win by Boom, but total domination by Garmin!

Best Story Ever ! Hope it continues long time and PCM 11 won't overtake this story Wink

Nice win of Boom, so next year you should be in the breakaway!

@all: Thanks a lot. Really appreciated all the comments.

@ricotero_uy: Indeed an interesting info. But at least the posts are still going up. Wink

@lluuiiggii: Obviously it`s one of the prologues, which are very easy to win. Plus the weak startlist and the good prologue stats of my riders.

@Alakahom: Hope so, too. PCM11 could indeed steal this but I will definitely make a new one then with a probably smaller team. But this depends on how playable PCM11 is in the first 2 months. But the 2012 season will definitely be finished I think.

@Tombola: Actually I planned to be in the breakaway, but then I had the leader jersey. Maybe it would have been even easier than with guys like Maaskant or Vandervelde, who can survive the next stages. But my tactic worked out until 30km to the line, where the group accelerated again and I missed 5km of doing a higher pace than 75% with 2 riders. Putting all 4 helpers on 87% at this point and Farrar might have won the stage.

65535 wiews?
Wow that is a lot,but nothing so surprising for a best story ever.
I think your masterpiece could be story-writing textbookSmile
And i hate these type of breakways, under 4 minutes all stage but very hard to catch in final part of a stage, happens to me a lot
Go Roman!

Schllierenzauer
Good Luck on next stage Wink

vangerner
Great win by Boom!! Good luck with the other stages Wink

I saving up for a new computer because with "my" PCM7 the breakaway almost has no chance of winning. It looks like it's much more realistic, also with the trainingsschedule and stuff. I have to guess when my riders are in a good shape, sometimes they are good but then they got tired very soon! And of course for the graphs! Enough about me! Haha...

Let's see whats up next! I really enjoy reading this story!

I'm sure you can recover the lead of those riders. Wink

@hellboy: Thanks a lot. Indeed the breakaway seems to save lots of energy during the stage and can accelerate in the end again. Can be very annoying.

@Schllierenzauer&vangerner&FreitasPCM : Thanks. Hopefully I can do better on the next stages to avoid the same situation than last season.

@Tombola: You should go for PCM11 then. If it`s playable of course Wink But especially in breakaway stuff PCM improved a lot. In older PCM`s there were almost never a break winning. Just in GT`s with lots of time back and in weak start fields. But normally all races went the same way.

Schifflange - Differdange
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-3-1.jpg
The 3rd stage might be the most hilly one. So it`s the best chance to get rid of the top 10 riders. With Poels, Swift and Roulston there are 3 dangerous riders there with good hill skills. But also the other riders there aren`t that weak of course. Otherwise they wouldn`t have won yesterdays stage.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-3-2.jpg
14 riders in the break of the day. No Garmin rider. As we just have 6 starters here we will need everyone to push the peloton a lot.
Gárate (Rabobank), De Schrooder (An Post), Mortensen (Vacansoleil), Scheirlinckx (Omega) and Tonti (Carmiooro) to name some of them.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-3-3.jpg
Duggan is our first rider, who is doing a quite high pace for this part of the stage. Also the Ceramica guys are behind him for the race leader Viviani, they don`t support him.
Duggan is still fighting for a new contract. He is a loyal helper on most terrains but we don`t see lots of potential left and so he might never get rid of his helper status. But on the other hand he looks quite happy in this role and our sponsor wants to have more Americans in our squad.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-3-4.jpg
Luckily the French teams FDJ and Europcar are doing a lot now. Also Hunter is starting to power the peloton. A few riders already struggled and felt back. Just 86 riders in the big pack now.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-3-5.jpg
On the final circuit it`s Wegmann with the first attack again. There are still too many riders left in the peloton, so Farrar and Vandevelde also do a very high pace.
Just HÃ¥kan Nilsson felt back of the top10 riders. (Sorry Pellizotti Wink)

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-3-6.jpg
On the last climb Wegmann, Lhotellerie, Maaskant and Boom attack. It`S the last chance for today and still ~50 riders in the first group. Also Ockeloen and surprisingly Poels felt back. But still 7 top 10 riders in this group.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-3-7.jpg
No chance for the puncheurs today. But with Maaskant and Farrar doing a high pace in the end Boom had some energy left and was the first in the wind. Unfortunately there was still a stronger sprinter in the group with Traksel, who overtook him on the final meters and wins the sprint quite dominant. But with Boom`s 12s time bonus today it`s a start. Tomorrow he needs some more seconds. Also Farrar jumped into the top 10 again after a great performance.
The big time gaps show how fast our pace was over the whole stage. So quite a pity that we couldn`t get rid of most of them.

Todays stage is very similar than the last. Lots of hills in the middle part and then again 3 hills on the final circuit, where we expect some attacks. Especially Wegmann was very active on the previous stages, as he is the best puncheur in the field. But also Boom must show something if he wants to improve a bit.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-4-2.jpg
14 riders in the break. Most of them are at least 4 min back but with Wynants (Quickstep) one dangerous rider is there with just +1'33.
Other riders are: Goesinnen (Skil), Van Groen (Vacansoleil), Daëninck (Cofidis), Ratto (Carmiooro)...

Duggan is immediately doing the pace in the peloton. Our goal is to higher the pace in the hilly area between 65-110km and then again on the five final hills.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-4-4.jpg
Duggan and Hunter are quite exhausted now after the first bigger hills. So Farrar and Van Der Velde are working now. Both of them are still very well placed in the overall but nevertheless they do everything for Boom today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-4-5.jpg
Wegmann is the first with the expected attack. He gives it a try on the first lap of the final circuit.
Van Der Velde just felt back when Farrar also struggled but Maaskant doing most work now. Something he tried to avoid yesterday.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-4-6.jpg
With 20km and two hills left Wynants is the only survivor of the group. But with just 50s ahead of the peloton he won`t have a chance. Neither on the stage win nor on the leader jersey.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-4-7.jpg
On the hill Maaskant and Europcar did a high pace and so Wynants was caught and lots of riders had problems to follow.
On the very last hill Boom attacks. He feels very strong today and so the other riders like Wegmann or Roy have problems to follow him.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-4-8.jpg
Under the flamme rouge Boom is still leading the race thanks to his great time trial skills. But with the peloton coming closer it will be quite close.
Also Maaskant is still in the peloton and will keep his good overall, while Farrar is in the first group behind.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/Lux-4-9.jpg
A big win for Boom, who was able to keep the peloton on distance. Jeromy Roy is 2nd ahead of Van Avermaet.
After checking the names in the official results we saw L.Haedo and H.Roulston in this group but Boom will overtake them due to the bonus seconds.
Other riders like Viviani or Swift are missing and later we found them in Farrar`s group.
Thanks to Europcar the group was splitted, but also their two leaders lost the contact and so none of them finished in the first group.
Boom will take the lead after this amazing stage, where Garmin controlled everything from the first kilometer until the end.
