great ride today by Gaudu and Roglic, they deserved both stage and GC. UAE seemed in total control with so many riders in front during the climb.
Anyway there was quite a lot emphasis in Roglic finale, I doubt it would have happened without Paris-Nice stuff...

Great ride by both indeed. I believe the UAE played the losing card. Pogacar seemed to have the legs to go with Roglic. I am not saying he would have won, but I think he would have been there with Roglic, Carthy and Gaudu.

Yes, for sure Pogacar had the legs for it, he had to stick behind Roglic wheel, but was dropped too by Astana guys, like Majka and Ulissi faded somewhere in that descent...

I think UAE wanted to help McNulty and reacted only when it was too late.
Nonetheless, yesterday's stage was great. Roglic and Gaudu did an awesome job. These are my kind of races and stages. I absolutely love them! Smile

Today starts the Tour of Turkey, and while it's not a particularly interesting race, Fabio Jakobsen is back racing after the seven month absence. Incredible recovery!

Brilliant. Let’s see how he shows up, hopefully he can make it until the end, let’s see. Also hoping that Cav can finally celebrate a win, despite Jasper Philipsen’s presence in the bunch.

Cav's last win was 8-2-18, it's so good to see this today <3

Greipel with a podium too. Retro in Turkey.

After Pais Vasco, I'm wondering what the future holds for Brandon McNulty. Since the Costa retirement and injury, he's been heralded as the next great thing in American GC guys. And to be fair, he's still very young. That's just obscured by his amazing TT results and the emergence of so many neo pro age superstars recently.

However, he is already so great in the TT, and his climbing just isn't near the same level. His stage race recovery is even worse. Just looking at him ride, he seems a lot more like Rohan Dennis than Primoz Roglic to me. I just wonder how he'll develop in the next couple of years. At some point he's going to have to make a choice as to how much he's willing to sacrifice to be a GC guy.

Really happy for Cav, and for Quick Step as well, now they can let others sprint again Wink

But looking at the images, that looked like vintage Cav with that final acceleration in a low forward position.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Yeah, he looked to have outpaced both Greipel and Philipsen with a category move. Really happy for Cav, great that Lefevere had the confidence to lodge him with the Wolfpack again. Legend. Smile

Seen how Cavendish was happy about his win made me remenber this:
"If I wanted to just win races I wouldn't ride every ProTour race," Cavendish told The Guardian. If I wanted to get shit small wins, I'd race shit small races."
Life is a bit**

Lol never gets old.

Quick Step gets anyone in line but wouldn't have minded if the guy just disappeared.

I was never a Cav fan whatsoever, but there's something familiar and reassuring about seeing him win again.

Same here, I think a lot of people would have quit after Sagan & Epstein-Barr tried to terminate his career. He had nothng left to prove, but his passion for cycling won me over.

In between the farce in the ManGame and Brenner getting an untimely mechanical at Brabantse Pijl, what a shit day.
