While Valverde won the GC, the league saw most of the following top scorers. In numbers 6 of the top10 and 10 of the top15 in the GC.
Standout performances by Kelderman (Tamijo) and Miguel Angel Lopez (roturn) deliver the biggest individual points. Having picked a Bora rider also was a smart idea as the trio Majka (bbl), Formolo (alexkr) and Buchmann (NV) also belong to the top scorers.
Then stage winners Dennis (Abishek), Viviani (jaxika) or Bauhaus (Ollfardh) as well go high in the rankings while top sprinter Kittel (alexkr) surely did work out yet this season.
Team wise neither Tamijo nor roturn were able to win the league table with their top picks. Instead baseballlover takes the glory. He had the advantage of the double amount of riders in the race though. Frank, Pozzovivo, Woods, Bookwalter all gave him nice backup points to Majka and hence the deserved league win.
Same depth delivers alexkr a nice result in 4th.
Omloop started the cobbled season and while all eyes were on the undraftable riders such as Van Avermaet in especially but also Gilbert or Demare, the top4 were all league riders.
Well it was an unexpected podium for sure with Valgren taking the win and hence getting big points for Abishek. He was expected to score in the Ardennes mainly, so winning on the paves is nice addition to his skillset.
Also Wisniowski (Croatia) with a stunning result ahead of the more expected Vanmarcke (baseballlover) or Stuyven (jaxika).
Team wise no chance to beat the race winner in a classic and hence Abishek easily takes the win ahead of bbl and jaxika.
Some surely disappointed. In especially trekbmc with 80 riders and a small scoring and even more Ollfard at 9 riders and 2,8 points per rider. Not a lot better for Marcovdw or sutty.

KBK with a different picture as teh full podium were undraftable riders. Hence matt with Ligthart as best of the rest takes him the individual title. Though next on the list, Jules for dominox gives him the team title as also Naesen added nice points.
Most amazing though that sutty really delivered a "perfect" score of 0 points with the most starters (9).
Jesus freaking Christ, I already hate my team. I'm always thinking about some sort of strategy (this time it was about youngsters with potential, hoping for a breakout years), and it always end really bad... Next time I think I'll just choose riders via their rankings points without 33+ years... There are better chances than now
Me likes Nearly pulled off the cobbled double here with Vermote caught just before the finish in KBK after Valgren won Omloop! Got a lot more than expected in Abu Dhabi, mainly thanks to Dennis.
Yeah, those classics went terribly for us, Van Aert showed that he has what it takes to be up there though and Terpstra actually won Le Samyn, easing my Omloop doubts.
Some changes surely happened with couple bigger events as you could see in the race scorings. But what is the total picture now? Is sutty still leading? Even after the awful cobbled start?
All races but Le Samyn are included. This one comes with the next update.

In fact he is dropping a lot and actually being the 2nd worst scorer in the full month.
New leader and actually with a bigger gap is NicoVirenque. A very good starter yet again as it was similar last year. He probably hopes to remain in the top area for longer this season though. jandal and jseadog on the podium but it`s closer here as the next couple managers all not far behind.
At the bottom matt, bbl and alexkr. Some solid races were not enough to bring them up a lot.

NV with a huge step in hte percentage ranking. Almost a third of the riders 2017 score at the end of February with most WT events still to be raced.
Also jandal apparently with very good picks at 1/5.
Then some in between with a decent % but lower total such as Aquarius, sutty, Croatia or in especially Ollfardh.
At the bottom matt with a clear sign, why his season start is all but good.
Impey remains the top CQ rider of the season! In especially when seeing the difference to last year at this date, where he only scored 20 CQ points, this is huge. Great pick for sutty there.
Viviani as best sprinter this season so far coming close though and also made a huge step forward since the team change. He was the month`s best scorer.
Then some early performers, that will be interesting to follow this season to see if they can keep that level up such as Ewan, LLS, Wellens or Lopez Moreno.

Impey might have doubled his total 2017 scoring already but it is Moser with the highest percentage improvement. Well, being 5 times higher with just 142 points scored, shows that last year wasn`t successful. One-hit-wonder or will we see more results by him in 2018? Same obviously goes for Moreno, Wisniowski etc.
For De Bie it might be interesting since he left the WT to ride for own chances a bit more in the lower division while also Devenyns is worth a follow since he showed great consistency so far.
While the rankings at the moment pretty much show, which riders had a stunning start to the season and hence belong to the overperformances, here a list, that show those, that did a lot better last season at the end of February. Sometimes the different schedule can explain it, sometimes it`s just a weaker form.
Kittel clearly being a bad pick for the moment. He just can`t find his rythm and with a weaker train he seems to have bad chances as his positioning is not ideal. Speed is fine though and might hope for later success.
Hermans changed the team and hence his biggest races might yet come while also Vichot couldn`t repeat his great early 2017.
Then couple of riders that basically changed their schedule such as Roglic, Dennis, Trentin or others that had big results early on last season and couldn`t repeat this such as Haas, Felline, Rowe.
Definitely room to improve for those.
Next races: Obviously Paris Nice, Tirreno Adriatico and Milan San Remo are soon to take place. Before the WT event Strade Bianche as well and hence lots of big scoring to come.
In the 2nd half of March it`s California, Catalunya, E3, Gent-Wevelgem and Dwars Door Vlaanderen. Hence a big month for classic riders, puncheurs and climbers.
And then there is lots of HC events as well on every terrain. Scoring potential a lot higher than in the first two months of the season and hence a huge change possible.

Abu Dhabi was just decent, despite having so many riders, but none of them being really great for that route. In the oobbled classic, i only had Cortina, and he crashed out of Omloop when he was looking good. Already waiting for Chaves to comeback to racing and start to give me big points
My team is doing okay. Nothing big, nothing small.
Lopez mainly takes profit from scoring in first half of the season, which wasn`t possible last year. So looks big, but wonder if he can keep it up all year.
2-3 others as well with solid seasons so far, while having 3 on the "underperforming" list is not ideal.
Still think Senni will shine later on as he made a nice step last year and also Kudus should do fine later.
Late Feb sucked for us due to Laporte getting sick. Still shocked by how good we're going so far, seems like my nice picks are being very nice so far.

Decent chances for mixing the top favourites up are given for Stuyven (jaxika), Moscon (ember), Benoot (Matt), Caruso/Stybar (Marcovdw), Vanmarcke (bbl312), Visconti (hilli91) or even league leader Impey (sutty) if he was able to keep his January form. Several others might have chances and are listed below.

Big lineup here and a race profile that is looking interesting for both climbers and puncheurs. The only mountain stage not as hard as in other years and hence more puncheur friendly for mid level climbers, that are able to fight such as Alaphilippe.
League wise a good mix of riders that can mix up the GC and stage finishes.
Viviani as season`s top sprinter surely is able to deliver points for jaxika. Wellens showed his form and is a nice rider to have for marcovdw while also Gallopin (Ollfardh), S.Yates (OZrocker) are looking good here and so are Izagirre, Van Garderen, Henao, Barguil, Fuglsang, Poels or LLS...

Strade: Basically everyone can do something here even though I doubt it`s big points. De Tier, Haug, Moreno, Kudus, Preidler, Thwaites is a nice mix, but probably beaten by many.
PN: Hope is on Henao, though not sure who is Sky riding for. Roelandts probably small points maximum.
TA: Quite a nice squad. Lopez and Meintjes might get into the top10. Moreno hopefully finally finds his rythm and performs a bit better here while Neilands and Thwaites are bonus.
GP Industria: Big team here. Hope Koshevoy and Haig will do well. Neilands, Owsian and Preidler as bonus.
I need some Sky magic to get my team going here Very dependent on Moscon in Strade Bianche and Poels in Paris-Nice, which sounds very, very risky. Though, for Strade Bianche, I do think there's a lot of potential in my team with Haas and the others as well, as they should all be strong riders being involved in the final 50 kilometers, one way or the other, except for Betancur of course, because who knows how he is this year?
My team for Tirreno-Adriatico isn't great, where breakaway luck or a lucky punch in a sprint from Consonni seems to be what I can hope for at most.
And then back to Betancur for GP Industria & Artigianato, where it would be kind of epic if he has some form this year, being a key rider for Valverde and grabbing a result himself too. If he proves he's in for a strong year, he could prove to be a golden pick for the season. Most definitely a very exciting weekend and upcoming week of racing!
Paris-Nice has to be a big race for my team, with Van Garderen and Chaves being key riders for GC. Elsewhere my team kinda sucks, except in Larciano, where McCarthy could do something good

Nearly pulled off the cobbled double here with Vermote caught just before the finish in KBK after Valgren won Omloop! Got a lot more than expected in Abu Dhabi, mainly thanks to Dennis.
