Dan the Man doesn't wait. For once it paid off a bit. unfortunately do to some other circumstances, this caused him to move down the GC.
And Talansky is showing up at least. Clearly not on last year's form.

Also worth noticing that Rui Costa seems to be at his best in this time of the year. He's always so good around Suisse/Dauphiné. Guy knows how to peak, or maybe he doesn't and peaks a month too early?
Costa isn't at his peak. He said last week that he is riding Dauphiné in order to acquire shape. |

Rain = Sky train off the tracks?
If so, I hope we'll see quite some rain.
There is indeed happening something when its raining on Sky, it just is so much harder to control and the watts probably dont account for the variables such as extreme weather (really wasnt extreme, but you get my point - raining all day ), such as yesterday. Also, Nibali and Quintana seems to do very well in such circumstances, so hoping for that kinda weather on at least one big mountain stage.
Also I agree with ricagale, I dont think he is peaking either as he lost 2 minutes on Pra Loup along with Nibali, Valverde etc. To me, it just looked like he had a brilliant day yesterday in his kinda terrain with as the climbs werent too long. Im still not sold on Costa as a GC-thread in the Tour (I think he has good chances of a podium in say the Giro someday), but he is an exceptional rider so who knows - he can maybe find some time on some medium mountain stages and potentially win a stage and still be up there at the end |

btw. Nibali also seems to be far from he's top form. Bad weather helped him a lot yesterday..also he's luck/ cycling wise acting.
So if anybody feeling great today..attack early and Nibbles will be dropped |

Yeah. Sky could still win this, but instead of attacking early and do something like Nibbled did yesterday, they'd bring him along and let Froome attack 1 - 2 km from the finish and actually end up winning time but not enough to overtake for the GC. Something like that |

The Skyborgs run on solar power, obviously. That's why they normally excel in June/July. |

Sky have decreased the gap to 1'30 so the break won't be winning today it seems.
Yates brothers have already been dropped.

Good guy Sky. I wanna see a battle of the best on these 2 last beast climbs.
Damn, they should both wait a year with GC aspirations in the Tour it seems. |

Great stage of racing that was yesterday. Tough weather, you really saw the pain in the faces. Nice to see big names in breakaways, I'm fan of that and there was a great vibe goin on there, tactical plays and such. Rui Costa & Gallopin have amazing racing brains, but Valv or Gallopin as stage winners would have been ubersweet, too! Nibali in yellow, kinda lol after the first days of Dauphine but he deserved it, it's gonna be interesting to see how he does today. Benoot is one of a kind, incredible rider. Also, intXauuusti, f yeah!
