Whatever else you might think about the race it was certainly gripping stuff at the end, right down to the last tyre width. Glad to see Sagan just nicking the overall after he dug so deep yesterday to limit his loses.
A few years down the line and Cav can't stop winning these big races while Greipel's over in Italy winning the shit small stuff Seriously, it's not exactly an A class field at ATOC but it's good to see Cavendish winning consistently comfortably again, if only because it gives me more hope for some genuinely competitive sprint action come July. |

Sagan, deserved? No way!
He won cause of bonus seconds which isn't what cycling should be about. The bonuses are on sprint stages and not climbing stages purely for the reason that a rider like Sagan can win. Alaphilippe deserved victory here. Hopefully there is more than one climbing stage next year and a proper TT, not a prologue.
