I had doubts in Gilbert but he has proved me wrong. Fantastic attack. |

Did that warrant a quadruple post Stromeon?
I think if Purito hadn't crashed out he would have been right there with him.
Very disappointing race for me with no real selection until the last 2 km.

Could not be matched up the Cauberg for the last time simply. Great win for him. |

Hurray Gilbert!!!! Perfect race from BMC as a whole, Greg out in the break, Burghardt protecting Gilbert the whole way, and Sanchez opening the attack for him.
But that really did look like the scary Gilbert again, no one able to stay with his acceleration up.

Just looked on 2012 World Championships video once again, and guess what? - Basically the same place of final attack. The guy know this hill and race as his pocket.

Brabantse Pijl and Gold Race so far, just like 2011... doesn't take much to see what's coming next at Fleche and L-B-L.

Gilbert is still nowhere near 2011 level. |

He was literally sitting there after the climb waiting for anyone to overtake him so he could try and grab on to their wheel to be led out, instead of actually trying to chase. If that's not dumb I don't know what is.
