So yeah, slight change of plans. I just don't feel like doing a full on stream, so here is the report of Round 1
0km - And the World Series of Cycling is.... is!.... GO GO GO!!!!
1km - First attack, and it comes from Arena(ZAC), and is countered by Senft(IAM) and Tisza(KAT). Victore(FDJ) misses the group but goes clear as well
4km - Hamasaki(PPO) and Waterman(VCD) bridge to the leading trio. Jorgensen(OHR) tires to go as well but fails. And Victore is also brought back.
14km - Hatheway(BMC) attacks the Peloton and shoots off towards the leaders.
15km - End of Lap 1. The six leaders hold 41" over the peloton. The opening lap has broken the field. There are a number of groups behind already.
30km - End of Lap 2. Senft wins the IS picking up the first rankings points of the WSC. Tisza has been dropped from the leading group, who lead by 1'35
38km - Waterman wins the KoM, grabbing some valuable points.
45km - Arena has been dropped by the leaders, which is now a trio. They lead by 41" over a hard chasing peloton.
46km - Hatheway attacks, dropping his companions!
48km - Waterman and Hamasaki are caught, leaving Hatheway solo upfront
50km - Teel(GRM) attacks! Abels(TNE), Kostelecky(KAT), Van Ande(LTB), Firmin(FDJ), Barnes(OGE) and Breda(MTN) all jump on his wheel. Firmin fails to hold the pace dropping backwards. As he does so, Gil(COL) and Muggia(LAM) storm up to the leaders!
54km - Abels launches a move. Teel, Kostelecky and Van Andel go with him.
57km - The leading 9 all come back together! Breda does not stop, and flies into the lead!!! The others are stunned and scramble to get across...
FINISH - Joop Breda takes the first ever victory of the WSC! A momentous moment and beautifully created victory.
