Planning to start a career when the Tour irl is finished. I'll probably be riding with a Belgian team so I'm preparing many variants. PCM Daily Expansion pack is too heavy for my computer so I manually enter variants. Have World Championships lined up until 2022, just taking stages from in game stage races. 2021 WC will be the stage to Mont Ventoux, with the ITT also a Mont Ventoux MTT (from a variant TDF). |

If the salary budget of your team is for example 590k, and you want to renew a 20k contract, this is not possible. The max amount for renewals seems to be set at 600k -/- salary budget. So even if you don't want to increase any salary, it is impossible to renew the contracts. |

Step 3: check
I lost 30 seconds on Valverde in the first road stage, but from there on, I was gaining first seconds, then minutes every hard stage.
Fitness was 2 for the first three stages, 3 until stage 14 and 4 from then on.
Oh, and I think I forgot to mention I used the same 9 riders for all GTs.
Nibali
Fuglsang
Brajkovic
Kangert
Dyachenko
Kessiakoff
Aru
Grivko
Gruzdev

I indeed had to check the difficulty every stage
I hope the exact effects of extreme were changed, or this game could become very boring
So it's time for challenge 3.
I won all monuments, I won all GTs, the only logical thing left is to win all WT races.
So
Team: Sky
Objective: win every WT classic and stage race
Difficulty: Extreme
??
The only race giving me a real headache is Paris-Roubaix.
BMC would be the only other option, but their stage racers might be too weak.

Cio, you are just too good for this game
Try playing online, that's the only challenge left for you

That was pretty dominant with Nibali in Vuelta. Given he was already on two other GTs, that shouldn't be too easy (raises concerns on AI plannings).... either that or you're just too good

If you Daily's Real Name DB, the update to the Expansion Pack might not be so heavy

That lining up WC variants is actually a very smart idea.
Doing the same now.

I also do the same with National Championships
Use stages from Tour of Belgium/Tour of wallonie/semi-classics for Belgian NC. |

Well guys, I can assure you I didn't do any magic tricks, so it has to be AI planning.
Protecting Nibali as good as possible, let a few domestiques reel in the first attacks by the favourites. When they really go for it, protect Nibali with the second best climber and dot up the climb.
When he catches the others, they slow down. Wait for a good moment and attack. Voila.
Oh, and for everyone trying to win the Tour, go for the Lyon stage. Attack over the top of the last hill and basically attack-sprint into the finish.
Took 1'25 on Froome that way

I just 'made' 20 WC and 15WCITT variants
In all sorts of countries
Though for some, I needed to use a .cdx file
Does anyone know if that'll give me trouble when I ride the WC?
Anyway, thanks for the tip Ian, if I didn't make some variants, every WC would be hilly... Now there are a lot of flat, cobbled and mountain stages as well
@Cio good luck!

What's the problem with using a .cdx file? That's actually what you're supposed to do when creating variants in this "method", so that you won't have useless MBs

Update on my Belkin career.
Mollema finished 4th overall at P-N
Slagter finished 8th overall at T-A
Wynants won Handzame Classic aswell as a stage win at De Panne.
Bos won Gent Wevelgem
Luis Leon Sanchez finished 5th at MSR
Vanmarcke finished 6th at E3 Herelbeke and 3rd at Gent Wevelgem
Mollema finished 4th at Veulta a Catalunya, just over a minute down off the winner Valverde.
go the Ronde up next before Pais Vasco where Gesink will lead the team.
Update:
Finished 2nd at the Tour of Flanders with Sep Vanmarcke ahead of Boonen in 3rd and Cancellara 4th, all same time. Peter Sagan won by 1 minute 30 seconds.

I'm doing a TdF (no career though) with Sojasun.
After Corsica I'm wearing the polka dots with Hivert and he's got a large enough margin to last for a few more stages, Simon got a third place on stage 2 and Engoulvent is the "lanterne rouge".
Goals: keep polka dots as long as possible, grab a few more podium places and maybe grab a stage win as well.
I enjoy not having to worry about the GC or sprinting. I might even put Sojasun on my list with possible career teams. =D |

Glad to have helped
Out of curiosity, what stages did you use for Variants?
So far I've used GP Gippingen, Paris - Bourges, Tour of Oman stage 3, Tour of Wallonie stage 1, Tour of California stage 3, Tour of Sochi stage 4 and TDF stage 15 (not in that order). Still looking for some more flat-ish profiles, though. I thought about a Qatar stage, but it's too short and too flat, I reckon. |

No, you won't. The expansion pack(not out yet) will bring that though. You can always edit them with an editor though. Doesn't take that long.
@Ian Well, okay then, it's quite a list, but these are the ones I remember:
- The 4 WC variants ricardo123 made.
- Mt. Fuji stage made by Johan92
- Mount Kocziusko mountain stage(TDU variant by ricardo123)
- Langkawi stage 6(flat with couple of bumps)
- Eneco stage to Bergen op Zoom(213 completely flat kms)
- Last Eneco stage(Slightly cobbled with the 'Muur van Geraardsbergen' I believe...)
- Volta a Portugal 200km hilly stage
- Tour of Slovenia long mountain stage
- ToB hilly 216km stage to Kendal
- Canadian NC Lac-Megantic(cobbled, though fake stage, I believe Brabantse Pijl, but Canadian WC is just cool )
- Stage to Olympia(Johan92 Giro variant)
- Stage to Montepulciano(Awesome hilly stage from the Johan92 Giro variant)
- Another stage to Geraardsbergen, more cobbled this time, from a TdF variant(not sure which one)
- Tour of Pologne, 231km stage, with a few bumps, but flat.
- Mountain stage to Super Liorian, TdF variant.
- Bayern Rundfahrt, Mühldorf stage(kinda short with 194, but a sharp hill close to the end made it quite interesting)
- Porterville stage(California fantasy GT, very hilly, but last part is flat, so can be any sort of stage, mass sprint, late attack or small group sprint.)
- Hemet 234km flat stage(California fantasy GT)
- Quinhai lake variant(by Adiouk), killer 231km mountain stage
That's about it I think.
I've added a lot of ITTs too, but those are most of the time mainly to give the nationality bonus to different riders each year. Though I've added some mountain and hilly TTs as well, and even 1 prologue, so that pure prologue specialists can have a shot once in 17 years as well
Also, I haven't added the variants by year, just v1, v2,---,v18. So that's it's a surprise which one I get each year.
