Navarro? Where did that ride come from? Very nice.
Just noticed him. Major WTF
From cyclingnews forum:
EBH overtook him at 11km and he spent the entire rest of it tucked in his slipstream...
Probably the worst case of wheelsucking I've seen in a ITT, he wasn't even 1 second behind EBH. They passed the 2nd time check simultaneously. So there was no gap between them. At all.
Would be outrageous if he doesn't get thrown out of the race, he gained like 3 minutes by blatant cheating.
This was worse. Henao and Kelderman were relaying.
Couldn't resist responding on this, sorry if that bothers.
I agree that this was really wrong, but they weren't really directly behind each other, only maybe in turns, so they couldn't really take full profit of the slipstream, and taking relays <-> switching from position 2 times, one time Kelderman overtook Henao again, and then he dropped.
But again, I agree that that was wrong, and haven't seen Navarro today, so can't judge if it was worse or not, but looking on the posts on the forum, I'd say that the Giro TT wouldn't be way worse than Navarro + EBH.
Spoiler And yes, I'm bloody biased, blah blah blah

Everytime you visit Daily, do you search for 'Kelderman' and respond to every post with his name in it?
No matter how far you are behind a rider, if you can see him, it helps. Larsson was 50-metres behind Cancellara in Mendrisio. He had lost two minutes very quickly but from the moment Cancellara overtook him, he lost no more.
And they changed position multiple times
Plus the rules clearly state that they should ride on opposite sides of the road which they clearly didn't.

No, I just enter every topic.
And I didn't know that slipstream works like that, honestly. 50 meters helps?
And of course, some guys spend their energy on other parts of the route than others, that might be the case by Larsson, but of course, doesn't explain all of it.

Yeah, okay, that's true.
But I won't see it saving a minute+, honestly.
Might be wrong here, don't have much knowledge on this subject.

In the case with Henao and Kelderman, I can assure you that they gained that at the very least. I mean, they were practically doing a duo TT.

According to Contador himself, his bad TT result is due to allergies he said on cyclingnews
Is this his next excuse?

Wow that was bad from Contador - only 11 seconds faster than Purito!

Contador. Been saying this for a long time: Froome will win the Tour by like 2 minutes to everyone. |

Since when has Contador allergies? I might be wrong, but I think allergies are develloped in your childhood/puberty, not when you're fucking 30. |

I think it's clear (if that wasn't already the case) that Contador is far from the form he had in 2009/2010. Froome is just way better now, I'd even say that Nibali is better now. But he has still the biggest chance to reach the Tour podium (apart from Froome obviously).
The battle for 2nd and 3th place will be more entertaining than the the battle for yellow (just like in the Giro). Contador, Rodriguez, VdB, TVG are the main contenders for the podium places.
Spoiler But since I predicted this, it's most likely that the opposite happens |

Even Alex Rasmussen at Sky would be able to win the Tour some day. |

I'd be very surprised to see VdB make the podium in a GT at any time in the future. TVG could get there, as long as Evans works for him from the off. Any split leadership will see him out. And the lack of overall TT km's is going to hurt when compared to better climbers such as Purito, VdB and even Pinot and Rolland

Add Schleck to that list. There's only one podium place guaranteed at the Tour and that is Froomebot. |

I'd be surprised if Schleck makes a Top 5, even when he makes a Top 10.
If spoken in PCM terms, he hasn't showed more than 50 form yet this year, and I can't see him getting to 95 form instantly

Many seem to forget that there has been one race so far this year and Schleck finished in front of both Contador and together with Froome there.

What do you mean?
LBL?
Well, that seems to be the only race Andy takes seriously besides TdF, while Froome & Contador don't really take that extremely serious, I guess.
Also, Froome finished 6 seconds in front of Andy there.
