I'm sure Valverde can surprise us all in the final time-trial! Along with the world-class screens. |

@ Ian, Freitas and sutty, thank you. Hopefully Valverde can really do it. I think it would be one of the better results of the season so far.
Tirreno Adriatico Stage 4
The race starts out with a breakaway getting clear. Some made more of an effort than others to pick up some KOM points, as Vaitkus and Meersman picked up the most on the day.
However, the break was brought back and just as it was Cunego made a big attack to go for the stage win, however it did not work out.
We got to the last km with everyone together for the most part, as the sprint opened up, but no gaps had formed, and Purito was not in good shape.
Horner took the sprint, quite surprisingly, with Nocentini picking up 2nd place, in what must be considered a good result for him. Small gaps formed, but Purito was able to finish 6th only 13 seconds behind, so good job to limit any loss, while also finishing inside a 15 man group that put 40 or so seconds on the next group.

Ian, thanks a lot
Ste: thanks. I agree. of course I wish he could be in form all year long, but he needs to be in shape later on, and not now, so this is good for him.
Miguel: Thanks
Freitas: I'd say so
Mre: You got me. Well, have a done a good job advertising? If you figure it out, I'll make a new one
Pelli: Indeed Possibly, its early to say, and to be honest, in the last few weeks (in-game) I have not really been able to make much of a gap on climbs, so its pretty much coming down to a spirnt every time.
Sutty: Thank you
Avin; Yeah, just the stupid timegap Hope Valverde can do well in the TT. Will probably play that stage tomorrow (today as of 5 mins ago )

Thanks Ian, here it is. Sorry for the wait. This has not been the top of my priorities the past few days, and my motivation one day can be really high, the next low, which is sorta frustrating....
Paris Nice Stage 8 Col d'Eze Mountain TT
The first of the big stage favourites, was Peter Velits who started out about half way through the day. He was 3 seconds off the best time at the intermediate check, but at the finish, he was only good enough for 6th place, and would later move down even further.
Now quite a ways later, we have the real favourite for the stage Robert Gesink and he does not disappoint! First at the time check, and already catching Cataldo ahead of him. At the finish, he slots in as the new leader, and good enough to put him in first place provisionally, with Albasini yet to leave the start ramp.
LL Sanchez heads up the long climb, as Valverde's faithful lieutenant, and sets a decent time while he's at it, clocking in at 8th when its all said and done, 32 seconds down on Gesink.
Just after LLS, we have Wiggins, who is really fighting to get a decent GC place, and he is trying to blast up the climb. This stage should be his specialty, being a good climber, and exceptional TTer, but he disappoints, losing out slightly to Gesink.
Now Valverde sets off on the climb, and early on, we can tell he's on for a good time. Enough to beat Albasini, but will it be enough to surpass Gesink who looks able to steal the GC?
We reach the finish, and it puts Valverde in 5th, 26 seconds behind Gesink.
Now Albasini hits the line, and the news is not so great for him. He has lost the lead, but to who?
1 | Robert Gesink | Rabobank Cycling Team | 19'18 | 2 | Bradley Wiggins | Sky Pro Cycling | + 8 | 3 | Bauke Mollema | Rabobank Cycling Team | + 12 | 4 | Jérôme Coppel | Saur - Sojasun | + 20 | 5 | Alejandro Valverde | Caisse d'Epargne | + 26 | 6 | Rein Taaramäe | Cofidis, le Crédit en Ligne | + 27 | 7 | Roman Kreuziger | Astana Pro Team | + 28 | 8 | Luis León Sánchez | Caisse d'Epargne | + 32 | 9 | Jakob Fuglsang | RadioShack Nissan Trek | + 34 | 10 | Michele Scarponi | Lampre - ISD | + 37 | 11 | Eros Capecchi | Liquigas - Cannondale | s.t. | 12 | Nicolas Roche | Ag2r - La Mondiale | + 40 | 13 | Thomas Voeckler | Team Europcar | + 43 | 14 | Mikel Astarloza | Euskaltel - Euskadi | + 44 | 15 | Sandy Casar | FDJ - BigMat | + 45 |
Its Bauke Mollema taking it. He had a great ride, almost as good as Gesink, and being closer to the lead than him, he was able to take the Overall. A great ride for him on the final day, and Valverde will be happy to take 2nd.
Overall:
1 | Bauke Mollema | Rabobank Cycling Team | 28h33'37 | 2 | Alejandro Valverde | Caisse d'Epargne | + 29 | 3 | Nicolas Roche | Ag2r - La Mondiale | + 32 | 4 | Bradley Wiggins | Sky Pro Cycling | + 40 | 5 | Jérôme Coppel | Saur - Sojasun | + 46 | 6 | Thomas Voeckler | Team Europcar | + 57 | 7 | Jakob Fuglsang | RadioShack Nissan Trek | + 1'01 | 8 | Roman Kreuziger | Astana Pro Team | + 1'08 | 9 | Michael Albasini | Orica - GreenEDGE | + 1'12 | 10 | Simon Spilak | Katusha Team | s.t. | 11 | Blel Kadri | Ag2r - La Mondiale | + 1'19 | 12 | Sylvain Chavanel | Omega Pharma - Quick·Step | + 1'21 | 13 | Eros Capecchi | Liquigas - Cannondale | + 1'25 | 14 | Andreas Klöden | RadioShack Nissan Trek | + 1'29 | 15 | Luis León Sánchez | Caisse d'Epargne | + 1'30 |

It was well worth the wait! Too bad for Valverde, but being runner up is very good, too!
Overall a great race by him, he can look back on it without regrets |
