I've been out drinking with 3 of my teachers
And another gave us beers in class for winning a quiz
admittedly i went to a boarding school and things have to be more informal...
but still awesome!!
I am friends with my math teacher on FB and I asked if I could ask a math-related question to him at 11 in the evening last week and he was like "of course, love to see you doing your homework "
That's not allowed in the UK.
the drinking or FaceBook?

I am friends with my former teachers and have been friends with them when i still had school, too.
My best teachers don´t have facebook, though. The very best always gave us "research" tasks in the PC room when we didn´t want to write essays in English and invited us to his house to have BBQs several times. Plus he paid for the beer.

Last days I can't stand get out on the street. I can't stand the heat or the smell of burning. It has been caotic with fires in Portugal. |

Come to Norway then Yes, it's rainy, windy and cold, but there's nothing like sitting at home at night when it's dark outside with the snow storming around the corners of your house with your GF or PCM, eating a good pizza and some snacks and watching TV or a movie
Also, I sleep very well in winter |

I love the winter, I'm definately a winter person. Fits me well since I live almost as far north as you can get.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

I've heard that you Americans have to call your teachers "Mr" and "Mrs" and you have to stand up when he/she enters the room, is that true??
Here too, although the stand up part has not been constant through the years.
Plus teachers were very pissed when we mentioned another teacher to them using his/her name without Mr/Mrs/Miss.
That, and the fact that they always say "tu" (informal for "you" ) and use our first names whereas we had to say "vous" (formal for "you" ) + Mr/Mrs/Miss (+ Surname) to them.
At the university it was the same for how we called them, but it's the way they called us that changed. There we had everything. Either "tu" or "vous", either they used our first names, either our surnames, sometimes they couldn't be bothered using Mr/Miss before our surnames, but still went on with "tu".

Same here, without the standing up part, and in Dutch

In Canada we dont do any of that stuff, its basically just sit in your seat and listen to the teacher.
When I went to Japan, we were told how serious everyone took school, especially about the standing up when a teacher enters the room, but no one did it.

There's something quite nice about buying a vacation one day, leaving the next. That's what I did last week, returned Sunday (explaining my sudden absence).
Went straight back to work on Monday. Luckily, it's quite interesting this week as I'm covering the Danish national football team. Getting paid to ask footballers question and watch matches is alright
Please Crue, ask Bendtner for me if he still thinks he is the best striker worldwide.
School wise, in Czech republic/Slovakia there was need to stand up and say hello to the teacher when i was at basic school. at grammar school standing up was not needed, but we still had to call the teachers in formal way of "you" (happy english speakers, they know only one type of "you), but they did the same to us, to show us that we have their respect as the collegues in education.
No drinking, no partying, no facebook with teachers (well, facebook did not exist worldwide back then). I found it strange to do this kind of things with teacher, for example giving you beer in the class for competition is illegal right?
And one more thing Am i the only one here that does not have facebook account? I have to say i dislike it much, mainly because of fact everything you ever write there and every pic (also posting the pic of someone without his pemission is crime in fact, but nobody gives a shit about it) is being archived and sold to the third parties and you agree with it in terms and conditions. I know it is choice of every one of us, but people are so shocked when they hear that they cant "add" me, where and why they wanna add me, am i some sort of collectible? If they want speak to me, they know where to find me in person...

I know what of your activities i would have skip to have more time, but that is because i am 100% atheist. Do you have Mormon belief, since you are from Utah?
And more important question....do you play beauty or the beast?
Yes, I'm a Mormon, and the activities we do on weekdays are actually really awsome. Some of the funner ones are: Laser tag, climbing, cooking yummy food, swimming, boating, and a bunch of other awsome stuff!
And about Beauty and the Beast i'm a wolf so neither. I am proud not to be a girl or really ugly
EDIT: Wolves are not ugly, they are fast, sleek. and awsome
