@Yves
NO! It's PCMdaily! It's just an illusion
@Ian
I believe this were his starting stats, or at least roughly. His 7pot will take care of it
@Miguel
Yeah, I suppose so, but that would be too easy

Does anyone know how to edit the difficulty manually?
I did some searching and people suggest editing STA_race_difficulty in the local.cdb file in 'my documents', but loading that file up there is no such table. Did it change for PCM13 or am I doing it wrong? |

Which editor have you tried to open it with? Not all editors open the Local.cdb smoothly. The Full Editor (Advanced Editor) does it for sure, not so sure about the others. STA_race_difficulty exists in the Local.cdb, and indeed it's there that you should go to change the difficulty values

Okay, I was using Lachi's editor, but I'll try the other one. Thanks! |

Alright, found it, no problem.
I made some changes to hard and extreme, exported it and replaced the local.cdb.
Will this change difficulty on all saves and even new careers? And if I swap difficulty level every now and then will it still use the numbers I put in? |

Yes, game will use current local.cdb values and not initial values.
Personnaly, I set 3.5% for hard difficulty level (2.5% initially) and found it to be a good value since 5% for extreme is to tough for me with a continental team career. |

Thanks, guys. I'm starting a new custom career and want to get it just right.
It was way to easy on normal. Played a full season and almost lost interest winning everything. But when I changed to hard in the 2nd season it seemed very difficult to get gaps on mountains and to chase in breakaways. Maybe I was imagining it, or the AI was in superb form or something. I'm hoping that with a weaker team and a difficulty between normal and hard there is fun to be had.

It differs per game, you know.
There are no set limits, just potential 1-8. 8 potential means that a rider will develop a lot on average, 1 means barely.
Van Keirsbulck is on 6, I guess he will be around 78 COB on average.

Since I'm mostly used to PCM 2012 I have to get used to some of the changes, so rather a noobish question: I read somewhere that race days don't count anymore, so basically the riders fitness is solely determined by his training schedule or do race days (like preparations races) still matter?
Also, another question: I mostly ride take position, however the dynamics of PCM 2013 make this sometimes quite frustrating. I still need to get the best hang of it since I think it's much different from PCM2012. I have never used much Dot-Riding but is the slipstream of the groups taken into account like when you ride Dot in an intense uphill finale?

Race days still matter, but no penalty after 60+ days.
And dot is indeed more effective, but not sure if it uses slipstream

If I remember it right, I read somewere that even on dot you still use less energy in a group |

Yep. If playing multi and you want to win having weaker riders - you need to dot all stage to have a chance of win against better guys 'stats' wise as it does save energy than using 'stay in the peleton' option.
