Now, if they can just change the name to "Tour of Ringerike"
That would be even worse. At least all of the stages takes place in Norway. Only the second half of the last stage was in Ringerike. Tour of Østlandet or Tour of Oslofjorden might work, but no matter what they call it the name will be better than Tour de Fjords.
How hard can it be?

Tour des Fjords, actually. I think it is a good name. The nature is more important since we actually have some nature on the western coast and it's international. Supposed to get even more tourists here. And something about "Tour of Norway". That was only in 2011, the name is Glava Tour. Nothing less, nothing more.

It would be fantastic seeing them climb up Trollstigen and go around some of the fjords rather than the eastern parts which are sooooo boring!
It's going to be great when they show "Arctic Race of Norway", then we'll actually see some nature that's worth looking at. Glava Tour is perfectly placed in the one area that consists of nothing by road works.
For those that doesn't know; here's Trollstigen
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Wow, Voeckler just had one of the worst luck I've ever seen.
On a small cobbles section in Tour of Belgium, his own bottle jumped out of the holder and got stuck in between the frame and the back wheel, locked it and made him crash.
Seems like he's out of the race, or at least quite hurt.

Update: He'll probably be all right. Worst was the shock, it seems. He's well behind the peloton and may arrive outside time limit, but the organization might just keep him in the race.
When the Belgian motor/commentator passed him by, he winked, so he'll be fine |

Is it the slight uphill sprint in Duinbergen today? If so, that one was made for Greipel. He just has that extra power other sprinters don't have.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

De wandelaar? I suppose so but it's only 50 metres long so in general doesn't have much influence on the outcome. It is really steep though.

Greipel doesn't have any real opponent here anyway.
Guardini, Van Staeyen, Napo, GVA, Vantomme, Petit, Veelers...
All good enough for podiums here and elsewhere, but far from his speed.

Bayern-Rundfahrt
Stage 1
In his 5th race back, Rasmussen gets a nice sprint win over Swift ( who's also coming back from injury after his great start in Mallorca ended in disappointment on last stage with very nasty crash). Lobato's decent season continues as well.

Easy win for Greipel after perfect work from Lotto. Boonen 2nd, Sinkeldam 3rd.

Boonen seems to be in form, he should focus now on TdP/Eneco Tour/fall classics. NC is too hard for him I think. |

His main focus now is WC TTT. He'll be riding Hamburg, Eneco and some minor tours. |
