LL Sanchez isn`t in top form yet but he already showed a bit of his strenght. For sure he will be great in July.

Banana => Sánchez will be great in July! 9th in California is still a good result.

Martin Hebík on third!! Banana Banana

I seriously have no idea who is that guy, but as long as he riders for Scott - Marcondes it's great Grin

By the way, your screens in this stage, especially the first 2, look so amazingly beautiful! What color settings have you got there? That plus a nice sunny day (Which is quite rare in PCM 10, imo) makes it so awesome Smile

Pity Garmin had to work alone to catch the break, but there are good news, such as if the break didn't work Scott wouldn't get a podium and the sprints are working again, apparently, which is great too =D

A nice Top 10 with Sánchez, the startlist is always very strong, so it's a very good result.

I also liked the performance of Café de Colombia, a 6th in overall, the KOM classement for them and 3rd in teams classement, very impressive.
Ps.: maybe you could post the stats of the Scott/Marcondes team? I'm curious, yes =)

Thanks a lot.

@lluuiiggii:
Hebik is a former PSK Czech rider. Colombia was indeed very strong as already in the previous races. You forgot the win in the U25 ranking Wink
Full squad will be posted later.

i play with the light and saturated?? options and shadows on maximum.
Actually I have quite many sunny days. Looks most amazing then imo.

The two wildcards for the biggest race of the season go to

- Skil - Shimano
- Colnago

Both teams are doing really great so far in the Giro. Probably their team won`t be that strong for the Tour but with Mollema (Colnago) and Sörensen, Kiserlovski (Skil) they have good backups to their Giro leaders and maybe the leaders will ride both GT`s.

So BMC, Tabriz, United Healthcare and Palmeiras don`t participate. Probably the right solution.

Actually quite an old team. Amorison and Hebik biggest transfers.
Palladino and Plaza are scouted riders I think.

Giro d'Italia - Stage 15
Civezzano - Passo di Gardena
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-1.jpg
It`s the last of 3 mountain stages before the second rest day and 2 flatter days. The distance isn`t that long but they have to pass the Passo della Mendola with 23km and 4,3% in average and then on top of the final climb, the Passo di Gardena with 28km and 5,8% in average. Martin is quite peaking at the moment. Maybe a tiny bit more on the final 3 mountain stages next week, so hopefully he can enter the top 10 today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-2.jpg
5 riders in the break today. Schröder (NetApp), Etxegibel (Euskaltel), S.Masciarelli (Androni), Sinkewitz (Katusha) and Hincapie (HTC). All of them are far behind in the overall but with just 5 teams in the break it will be hard for them against all the teams behind.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-3.jpg
On the first climb it`s primarily Farnese and Quickstep doing the work for Rujano and Scarponi. Definitely two good bets for this stage.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-4.jpg
Schröder takes the mountain points ahead of Etxegibel and Masciarelli. The peloton is coming to the top 6min later. This doesn`t look too good for the group actually.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-5.jpg
The final climb just started but the group is already caught. Basso and Cataldo doing lots of work now but also Nibali is directly behind these two.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-6.jpg
And still 17km to go but not many riders left in the first group. Luckily Martin and also Stetina are still there. Other riders like Karpets, Fothen, Rogers or Monfort already felt back. But also Brajkovic has problems now. From the stats Pauwels and Kruijswijk are the weakest climbers but still looking good.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-7.jpg
Masciarelli with the first attack. Nibali and Rujano immediately follow him. Martin stays in the pack as it`s still a long way to go.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-8.jpg
11km to the line Kruijswijk and Pauwels fall back. Great news for Stetina, who is still in the group. Thanks to a +5 today, while Martin just has -1.
Now he wants to gain as many seconds as possible.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-9.jpg
5km to the top and Nibali with the next attack. Martin is still able to hold the pace with the best but he isn`t able to attack today.
Stetina just felt back but still a gap to the Dutch.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-15-10.jpg
Ricco takes the stage ahead of Soler and Scarponi.
16s later a group of 7 including Martin and Nibali finished and so Scarponi takes the lead by 1s ahead of Nibali. Martin jumps on the 7th today. Hopefully he has some good legs in the next mountain stages to improve a bit more or at least defend this result.

Stetina finished on a strong 13th as helper today gaining 49s to Kruijsijk today. Actually not as much as we expected but obviously the Dutch had recovered on the last kilometers.

Great work with Martin Pfft How old is he ? You know in your career right now Pfft

Thanks all.

Martin is 25 now, so one year too old for U25 ranking. Stetina 24, not sure about him in the 4th season.

Ricco doing great on the Giro? Okay then... Rolling Eyes

Nice Top 10 with Martin, he once again proves he is strong enough to get a Top 10 overall. Also nice that Stetina got some seconds on... (ctrl+c ctrl+v) Kruijswijk.

Thanks. 7th is realistic as I normally gained time to the guys behind or at least same group. But improving will be very hard. So far I never gained time on these riders. So I really need some very good 3 days.

Great result! Goo luck with Martin for the last week of racing.

Giro d'Italia - Stage 16

Today the sprinter can prove their form once again. The GC contenders will have a calm day but still they must be concentrated every time.
It might be the last sprint finish before the final stage, so we expect the sprinter teams to cooperate together.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-16-2.jpg
With just 3 riders in the break of the day it`s also looking for a sprint finish. Cavendish was the best sprinter so far but also Boasson Hagen and Bazayev showed strong performances as also Bennati and Farrar had positive trends.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-16-3.jpg
As other teams didn`t really help quite unexpected we had to do the pace alone.
I still had to test a real mass sprint in the end.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-16-4.jpg
With 3km to go Farrar is in an excellent position behind Bazayev and Cavendish. Obviously the sprint problem really stopped now.
Heavy wind caused a big split in the peloton but Farrar without big problems to follow this high speed pace.
Also Martin and Stetina were able to stay in this group.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-16-5.jpg
Cavendish again. For a short moment he struggled and Boasson Hagen looked like the sure winner but in the end he accelerated again. Farrar as 4th ahead of Bazayev with a good result. For the win he wasn`t strong enough unfortunately although he had the speed today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/Giro-16-6.jpg
~90 riders lost 1'44 today due to the heavy pace made by our riders, bad weather conditions and a strong wind.
The best are Basso, Cunego, Serpa, Cataldo or Gilbert. Good news for Martin and Stetina actually. Basso isn`t that close to him now to be a big danger.

Parallel to the last Giro stages we will take part in the last German prefessional HC race. It was first held in 1980 and since 1989 it`s a professional cycling race with many German winners. Jens Voigt is the record winner with 3 victories, while Erik Zabel has 15 stage wins in Bayern.
The route is normally a mix of flat and hilly stages and one time trial in the end.

Felline had a very good first season half in 2011. Unfortunately he won`t defend his title as he is at the Giro d'Italia and this quite successful actually.

Garmins squad in 2012
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/BR-Team.jpg
But even without Felline we have a very strong team here. Jakob Fuglsang starts his Tour de France preparation and will be our leader aiming for a podium hopefully as his form isn`t really good at the moment. In the sprints we have Rojas Gil and Hunter. While first won`t have big problems with the hilly profiles, Hunter is the only rider here in a decent form.

Favourites

*** Bak
** Fuglsang, Van Garderen
* Vande Velde, Wegmann, César Veloso

Although Fuglsang has the number 1, I don`t think he is the top favourite. The hills are not hard enough to get rid of Lars Bak probably and with his advantage in time trials he is the top favourite. Also Van Garderen is a quite similar rider than Fuglsang.
One of the best teams here might be the small German team Nutrixxion Sparkasse with lots of new transfers.
Next to former Garmin rider, 3rd in Giro and 4th in Tour de France, Christian Vandevelde also Voigt, Geschke, Nordhaug, Radochla and Rast are part of this team here.

Especially the sprints might be very close with top favourite Andre Greipel there. But with NetApp`s Ciolek, our duo, JJ Haedo, De Haes and Petersen he has lots of opponents.

First stage is quite flat and so the sprinters will get their chance. Hunter and Rojas can ride on their own to test who has the better legs for the following stages.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/BR-1-2.jpg
12 riders in the group today. Luckily no HTC rider in it so we might do the pace together here.
Most known riders in the break are Nordhaug, Rast (Sparkasse), Tjallingi (Vacansoleil)and Lang (Thüringer).

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/BR-1-3.jpg
On the longest climb it is our team chasing the group. It`s looking very good for us as the advance starts to melt a lot. Also Europcar with Feillu and Arashiro helps a lot on the last third of the stage.
So the group was caught a few kilometers in front of the finish line.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/05%20May/BR-1-4.jpg
In a close sprint it`s Andre Greipel taking the stage. Ahead of Pedersen and Ciolek. Rojas and Hunter were a bit blocked in the end and must be happy with 6 and 8.
Not the best start for us but still 2 in the top 10.
