A hectic last few months IRL for me. The team definitely deserved more cheering that they got for the way they have been riding!

Nice to have so many teams already. I believe 36 is the highest number we ever had. It looks like there is not much more to come, so I already took a look at what teams will be in which division.
These teams will be for sure in the WT, either by a spot off the relegation positions or in the case of Leopard on a promotion spot:
 | Allianz Cycling Team | ACT | jaxika | | Bunzl - Centrica | TBC | brewers90 | | CarbonSports Cycling - Lightweight | CSC | knockout | | Celesio Pro Cycling | CEL | mvhoogdalem | | Feryn Bikes | FEN | The Rider | | Filliers - Mora Pro Cycling Team | FMC | Ollfardh | | Illes Balears | ILB | Shonak | | Italo - Ventilair | ITL | Bikex | | Leopard - Evonik Pro Cycling | LEO | Croatia14 | | Saeco - Cannondale | SAE | Smowz | | SAP - Bianchi | SPB | trekbmc | | Suntory Lucozade Sport | SLS | DaveTwoBob | | Vegeta Cycling Team | VCT | SSJ2Luigi |
Teams that will be in CT for sure are these. Included are all new teams, Cymru Wales that just had a too bad WT season, 3 of last years CT teams that were at the bottom of the rankings and Fiskars that wants to stay in CT:
 | A1 Cycling Team | A1C | Luxemburger | | Aeropostal Venezuela Ciclismo | AVC | Miguel98 | | Fiskars Cykling | FIS | Atlantius | | La Poste p/b Mavic | LPM | the_hoyle | | Lufthansa IN Racing | LIN | AbhishekLFC | | Renault - Look | REU | sgdanny | | Santos - Euskadi | EUS | jandal7 | | Schuh p/b Wiggle | SPW | Martii_Scots01 | | Specialized World Cycling | SWC | Scatmaster111 | | Team Coldeportes | COL | jserna735 | | Team Cymru Wales | TCW | sutty68 | | Team Heineken - Shell | HES | DonnyBrasco | | Team Renova | REN | PeterRyder | | Team W - Junior | TWJ | Waghlon | | VisitUkraine p/b Nemiroff | VUK | fjhoekie |
This leaves 5 WT spots open, for which the following teams can hope:
 | The Spark Project p/b Bollé | SPB | bwiggins | | Team Alitalia | ALI | matt17br | | Team Peugeot | PEU | Marcovdw | | Sugoi - Xanterra | SUX | Selwink | | TVM Cycling Team | TVM | OZrocker | | CCC Sprandi Polkowice | CCC | dominox | | Gaerne - CSF | GCS | krisa | | Sevilla Cycling Team | SEV | javibozada |
This list is sorted by their last years reached Prestige ranking position. All of them haven't reached a guaranteed promotion spot, so not only their ranking will be considered, also stuff like activity and their focus. Still the top CT teams on this list, namely The Spark Project and Peugeot can already almost certainly plan with WT for next season.
I'm also not sure about what to do with Alitalia. The team did end up on a relegation spot, but in the end I still think it could be worthy of a WT spot as matt was one of the most active and also a quite helpful manager.
Just wanted to share my thoughts, maybe someone has something to say about this. |

would love to see bwiggins & matts teams in the WT still, their team/performance screams for WT...Fiskars would´ve been great there too...
otherwise I would go by giving the most active members of the game promotion in that region, so Sugoi + 1-2 others...

Okay, I'm not most active user on PCM ever, even by logins (most of time, as a guest), but I'm on the forum everyday. Also I'm glad that my team is considered to get WT spot after just one season. Especially when my calendar didn't have a single WT race. I don't think I really want to do it in my second season while having really only Ulissi who can score points in rankings...
But if other managers will decide to stay in a CT, and 1 spot will be open, I wouldn't be mad . |

I would also consider dominox - before his abscence from January on he was really active, and since April he is again...if Gaerne doesn´t want I would say take him

When not looking at activity, maybe one non-European team for the WT?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

where a team comes from shouldn´t be a factor in my opinion...only what the teams and managers delivered and how much the contribute to the ICL

transfers are coming and a certain polish GT leader is becoming available in the transfer season
have I made good enough impressions yet to please no try to "steal" majka in the "steal" part of the transfers?

Yeah. It's interesting that most managers think stealing riders is cheaper then buying him

Well, frankly the only reason someone would use steals is that you know you will have a lot of money, and you are willing to just throw it on riders you know their managers won't sell for any reason at all.

Outside offers aka steals are rarely successful anyway but I think the system is fair use.
I wonder if there is interest in increasing wages in total? (And that's definitely hurting me, but...) With many top riders on the market, their price will be sky high again and then fall down in the following seasons again. Whilst I think that smaller prices are important to have some room for economic possibilites (Potion of youth etc), the difference between established riders and new signings is always rather critical each season imo.

I haven't been very active in the past few months (as you all know) so it's hard for me to say who deserves it based on activity. It seems like there's no objection to Spark and Peugeot joining the WT and without looking through all the season's reports, Alitalia can definitely be kept WT with several teams disbanding. Of the remaining teams, I thought Krisa deserved a spot too but if Gaerne want to stay in CT, so be it.
So the remaining 2 teams would be chosen from;
Sugoi - Xanterra
TVM Cycling Team
CCC Sprandi Polkowice
Sevilla Cycling Team
Team location probably shouldn't be a factor since the managers are really the important part of ICL, (although it's a bit disappointing that all of the big teams are European with Air China rebranded and now Smartone and Ecopetrol disbanding) so judging the final spots should probably be based on a combination of results and activity IMO.
PS: With La Poste taking up the African CT slot, does this mean no more Telecom Namibia?
