Wow, that got my heart pumping just as I was about to go to bed. Fantastic sprint by Sagan, timed to perfection. First win of the season and it's the Ronde!
Thank you, Peter, and thank you Shonak for the long video!

Not even close to enough cobbles impact for us to have a shot in Wallonie.

Easy to time the sprint well when you have made one attack and then sat on the wheels for 30k .
Hard to be bitter about 2nd given the rest of his season but am I being unreasonable in saying Senechal deserved to win that? He chased down both important attacks, he launched numerous attacks himself and he rode on the front for much of the last 25k because nobody else would ride (which made little sense since we had Favilli, who has a pretty good sprint, in the next group).
Still by far our best result in the race least suited to my cobbles team. Thanks for the long video although it was 5 minutes of dread waiting for Senechal to finish 12th in a bunch sprint. Perhaps we were due some luck on that one.

Another sixth for Butenko in RVV U23. Not the best again, but still a decent result in a monumental race.
In South Africa there have been some top 10's from Rask Jeppesen and a great podium place for Hämäläinen in the MTT for our main team, but Sorensen with a great race and fighting heavily for the KoM so far for our development team is also great to follow. Hope he can join the good break a couple of more times.

Certainly, considering all the work he did Senechal deserved to win. But considering it still ended up as a sprint between 10 riders who are all decent sprinters you should probably be happy with 2nd.

Yates, the Continental puncher extraodinaire
Vanmarcke, 15th. Guess I should lower my expectations for the rest of the season from him.

Happy Eisaks got over the hills to get 5th at De Ronde, helped by wheel sucking Senechal for 20km.
Pedersen managed 16th which is not bad but new boy Lechuga in the same group finishing 24th is amazing.
Thanks for the super video Shonak

What the hell is wrong with Peiffer? Everything else in the season going so well going to be disappointed if he lets us down any more than he has so far.
Loic Astier though, what a guy! Denying Appo another stage win yeah, but his second CT victory from a breakaway already, great work for an U23 rider!

Probably. And it was way better than I expected.

Incredible ride from Lecomte to get into the top 10 in South Africa on the seventh stage. He fell back a bit on stage nine, but if he can keep his fourteenth place in the rankings that would be massive. Sorensen one point behind the leader in the KoM now, but definitely still possible for him to score some points in the final two stages.

The Ster ZLM Tour is a tough gig, so many good sprinters, most of them will be disappointed in the end.

Komisarek nowhere near his miracle Ronde win from last season. At least he started ZLM Tour in kinda similar fashion, lol |
