Thank you Shonak, I always love these videos, very exciting to watch. What's with the title of the Roma Maxima video?

Sixth and fifth isn't that bad, though Moser could have done a lot better had he not launched the sprint I think.

Lutsenko again badly placed in most of Strade Bianchei, then in Roma Maxima he did quite well, but there was no beating Sagan. |

Two very bad races for us in Italy.
I don't expect Martin to light up a WT classic anymore, but he was so completely out of the mix that it's hard to not be disappointed. His lack of a strong team probably didn't help with positioning, but still. 40th? Definitely not what we were looking for when he was listed in the preview post.
Langlois seemed similarly inattentive in Roma, though that was more expected. I got slightly optimistic after he won the bumpy stage in Bongo, but this was understandably too mountain for him to make the proper selections.
I said from the beginning that results and rankings weren't super important this year, but I would like to be showing off our jersey more and doing well in the races that impact our budget most.

I really liked the fact that Villella was very aggressive in Strade Bianche and he rewarded himself with a very good 2nd place. Bardet played it perfectly so not that much to do about it but if Villella can keep on being consistent we might have a chance of survival.
Thanks for results Shonak!

Kinda wanted better for Kern in Iberia, but not a terrible result. I guess I thought he was also riding Tirreno, but wasn't so that wasn't a great race for us. EBH seems quite strong in the early season.
You gave me a quick heart attack that something with the startlist was not okay, but check the result again
Well, what can I say? I have such a bad memory when it comes to who is riding where, I guess I missed Kern in the results though Turns out we did slightly better than I thought
Roma Maxima was a decent race for us again. Didnt make the final selection, but cant be too upset. The racing was quite exciting too.

Bardet finally gets a win after going winless the whole of last season. The hills training paying off. Awesome team performance at Strade Bianche.
Eisaks going really well, 2nd at Omloop is huge for Suntory where we would normally be looking at 22nd in a cobbles race.
Thanks to Shonak for super videos and congrats to the winners.

1st win of the season for us, I think Bananito wins the stage for the third time in the row. His acceleration really kicks in well in this longer uphill section.
Tachira and Paris-Nice in the next two days then and Istrian perhaps also in the evenings in parallel.

I'd say OK start in Tachira for us. Zabel is by far not as strong as I hoped him to be, but at least he gets the same results in WT that he also gets in CT.2. I definitely need him to step up, though.
Godoy's 6th place in stage 3 was a nice surprise, but most importantly Chamorro is staying safe in the pack so far, at least staying in the race for a good GC result. Let's get the serious things started now!

Well done to Reinders, we definitely needed that breakthrough victory! He's been excellent at surviving to the end through the hills this season where many other sprinters have failed.
Mollema keeps getting himself in great positions but just hasn't been aggressive enough for my liking. I would understand it if he had a stronger sprint, but with the other guys he's competing against it should be obvious that he needs to get away from them before the finish. As for Moreira, he's clearly decided to wait a bit longer before actually trying to win a race.
Nice to see Emil Hope and Epalanga getting involved, even if it doesn't really count for much in terms of results. Hope should be at his most useful over the next month so I'm glad he was trying hard to help Mollema in Strade Bianche. Not really a fan of how the standard Baku jerseys look tbh, if they stay on as a sponsor I'll have to work on the design a bit more (or just sudmit one before the season starts ).

Good race in Omloop.
Not so much in Strade. Yates hasn't yet got back to last year's form.
Tachira looks like it might be a bust.
Thanks for the great speed of reports guys

Tao and Ruben haven't lost any time, but aside from Sagan the team seems rather passive this season. It's been a while since a rider joined a breakaway, or positioned himself near the front for a late attack or a sprint.

I was tempted by Tachira at first, but decided against it in the end. It was too soon for our team and it would have been a painful experience.
Nice reports and videos! Congratulations to the winners and good luck to all on the next stages! |

Lambert for the breakaways in Paris-Nice? Welp there goes GC ambitions. Petit also far behind in the sprint, not a good showing in front of the home crowd.

Wow, absolutely terrible by Martin. Completely out of GC despite being the best puncheur in the race on paper. Like he wasn't even trying.
Did he crash or something? I can't think of any other reason he'd be outside the top 100 on stage 4. Though he was already bad on stage 3.

Damn, big race for us out the window. I can only hope he's not too hurt and contests stage 5, so maybe we can still get something out of this.

Didn't expect anything from Tachira since I lack even backup mountain leader (I don't count Ulissi as one, lol), but 14th for Parra so far looks decent. And Jaramillo focusing on best climber standings. At least that from Tachira. |

Tao looking good so far, 10th, I hope he can keep it up. Solid team performance as well plus Lowsley in two breakaways. Tough stages ahead.
Sorry to hear about Martin's crash!
