Glad he can still put that CX skill to good use.

As always I hope one of the Swedes can bring a result, most likely Lucas Eriksson if any. After all heder did show some potential some years age at the men junior championship taking a 6th and year arter that 7th.
Anyone knowing approximate finish time? Do I catch home after work... |

I'm in Bergen as a journalist from Denmark. The winner in u23 will be either Halvorsen, CP, Hodeg, Philipsen, Cosnefroy or Albanese.
The course is not hard enough for climbers to win it, nor a late break away (unless CP goes mad again like in Tour of Denmark) as the last climb comes too early.
I'm really missing Lawless also.
Also, we, the written press, had 3 questions together to Froome, Dumoulin and Roglic on Mount Fløyen in mixed zone so they could make it to the podium ceremony ... felt pretty cool when I got 2 out of three on Froome and Dumoulin and 1 on Roglic in front of Cyclingnews etc. |

Probably something like:
Ehmm. Froome, are you going to the Tour next year? And Dumoulin? What about you? Oh, and are you happy with the win?

am I the only one impressed by Tratnik? usually I know the top 10 of the time trail elite but Tratnik is a new name for me
no you are not Slovenian cycling is durreetnly growing really well, and Tratnik finally lives up to his immense potential
rooting for Riabusschenko tomorrow
To think six (!) years ago he was riding with Quick Step and had to wait all this time to finally prove his talent. I thought he was more of a puncheur/sprint rider, but he seemed to have developed nice time-trialist skills, a very good result from him and probrably might find his way back to the WT in the near future.
Really excited for today's race. Love the unpredictability of the U23, looking at the course I'm not sure if Halvorsen can retain his win from last year, but his motivation of racing at home might have an impact in this matter. I'd say today a nation from an outsider nation wins, someone in the likes of Riabushenko or a Strakhov or a Pedersen. |

Wow, Elena Pirrone won U23 women ITT and the road race. That's a star in the making.

Wow, that is cool dude!
How did you like the Fløyen and the atmosphere?

Junior, not U23, but sort of close
Last time that happened was.... 2015 Richmond with Chloe Dygert (who was an impressive 4th in the Elite ITT this year, incredible talent who's done really well this year and last with Sho-AirTwenty in the US against real good riders).
Italy is pumping out good young females at the moment. Elisa Balsamo and Lisa Morzenti did well last year, and also Medals this year for Alessia Vigilia and Letizia Paternoster. But like with all things, it will be about how these Juniors transition to Elite level racing.

First attacks with 2 hours left to ride, Jakobsen seems to be 30 seconds down on the peloton after just one hard ridden hill. Maybe a mechanical though.
In the meantime, McNulty tries to bridge to the very cool break consisting of anything but classic cycling countries.

Hey we have won giro d'italia and Paris Roubaix and some TTT championship.
But yeah agree we are not amongst those classic cycling nations, just hope we could sometime... |

Not to forget a podium in the Tour de France behind none other than Eddy Merckx and Luis Ocana.

uh-oh, very dangerous group and nobody chasing at all...
Spain slowly taking it back now, looks like it'll be wasted energy for some of the favorites after all.
