Real lucky. Look at that speed. If you tumble over your head on a concrete road at that speed and get out of it unhurt... Hope nobody was hurt too bad here.
Those sprint remain a hazard each time. But I guess that's part of the sport.
From what I've seen/heard, it seems like the only serious injuries are Meyer and Dehaes, which is pretty lucky for everybody considering what happened and how many and fast they went down.
At those sorts of speeds, which was about 70-ish Km\H at the time, sometimes you have to wonder how riders can occasionally and very fortunately walk away with nary an injury. Unfortunately, I doubt you could eliminate all the risks without literally turning it in to that oft cited meme about turning races in to who has the best power meter numbers on a lab bike.
Finally, Van Hoff needed that win. Very pleased for him, deserves a WT contract for sure. Wippert, he looked dead yesterday, got sick on stage 2. Some effort. Impey beating Dumoulin, was a great bet Betting started 2.10 on Impey, ended totally reversed with Impey at the end of night at 1.61.
Tomorrow should be great, but it's BMC to loose. All they need to do is just to follow Porte. Only Porte can beat Evans up that hill in their forms.

I guess it's part of the sport and safety is improving, but it's a risk that pro cyclists take. All we can do is hope that nothing really bad happens.
Will be a really exciting stage tomorrow, I want to see Evans win, one last time, but as you say, it's BMC to lose. Although I think that Dumolin or Sanchez or maybe a Movistar rider might be able to slip away while the others watch each other...
Lawson Craddock broke his wrist and breast bone! He was not involved in the crash in the end, he crashed early in the stage in fight for positions referring to Geschke's down under dairy.
