That's fantastic news. I had hopes there would be some way to change these stuff, it's great that there is (while keeping the automatic calculation, which is also useful sometimes)

Better than PCM12, but still worried that this feature is in the hands of stage makers
Time to get the Stage DB up again then

Even though there are many riders with not very accurate stats yet, but they made a good effort to give the different riders, lets call it, "specialisations". Examples Climbers with very different SP stats, very different ACC stats, mediocre riders with high END or REC stats, strong riders with bad REC and so on. I think they did pretty well on that as it will add depth to the game. |

I though e-mails said the links would start being e-mailed to people at 1am British time. Which is two hours from now.

Mind you, it's a very retarded move by Focus. Download links should ALWAYS be given out far in advance. Usually a week. Then when the game is released, e-mail just the codes
What's going to happen is everyone is going to try to download at the same time. No one will get any speed. Focus will have to deal with three billion support tickets yelling "MY DOWNLOAD IS SLOW FIX YOUR SERVER"
It's network admin 101 ffs

Probably because it's CEST atm? Dunno if they distinguish that to annoy us.

GET IN!
Stage editor now has the option to choose the Flat/Hill/Mountain rating of a stage. As well as all the other things like time gaps, uphill sprint ratio and mountain ratio.
YES!
Really, really, really great news. I just need to get the game now.

Someone mention ctrl + R as a recorder? Can someone test it?
Confirmed! It records.
What type of video file does it come out as? .avi
And whats the file size? I know Fraps has massive filesizes even for a 30 second recording.
Straight from the game, a 16 second clip I recorded was 54 MB.
Decent quality. It does have a flashing red 'recording' square in the top right hand corner, and www.bandisoft.com engraved across the top. It also recorded the music I was playing at the time, outside of PCM.

So - back when PCM12 was released, I did some tests to prove that the mountain AI simply didn't work. Even if I decided to go full power from 180 km out on a mountain stage, I'd still get a 40 man group sprint in the end.
I just tried this in PCM13. Have simulated the Tour up until the 18th stage with double Alpe d'Huez. Starting relaying with the Sky train on Col d'Ornon, kept on going on Alpe d'Huez where it's as realistic as it can be: "Moran" (Uran) simply ripped the peloton apart and created a group of just 7 riders: Uran, Froome, Wiggins, Contador, Betancur, Pinot and Cunego (well, riders aren't realistic, but other than that... ).
Obviously, this kinda ruined my experiment as I wouldn't be able to thin out the peloton myself from this point ... but luckily, this happened all by itself for the rest of the stage. No sprint for the finish line - just riders crossing the finish line one by one after a hard stage.
First major group came in 17th, and that was just 12 riders (De Gendt, Kreuziger, Evans, Martin - well, and Cunego who couldn't keep up with Froome and co. ).

Also, I noticed that the 'hidden' charisma stat is updated. A lot of variety in the charisma stats, they wouldn't put that effort it in if it doesn't have effect, I suppose
So I wonder if it has any effect, and if so, what?
Guys like Voeckler & Pozzato score high on it, which makes sense I guess, but there's also Lequatre(?!)
It was exactly like in PCM12

How's the rider collision in the 2013 edition ? One of my greatest annoyances with 2012 was the fact that it sometimes was a pain to get your riders up front early/at the start of the race, primarily in races with narrow roads. It sometimes makes it a pain to get in early breakaways with the rider(s) you want. Obviously getting blocked in is part of racing, but few riders need 50km to get to the front of the peleton.
Iirc Cya said they hadn't really change much on it.
