Haha I always use the original database on pcm, which would explain that. And plus I'm lazy.
But hey, at least "Patarac Torsche" won't torment us any longer |

CANCER RESEARCH CHALLENGE
Past Winners
2011 - Allessandro Petacchi
2012 - Murilo Fischer
Formerly known as the Cancer Research Classic, the season kicks off with a new, experimental, race format. Basically, the rider with the lowest sum of placements across all stages takes the victory, so it's all about consistency.
Still, each of the 4 legs consists of a flat criterium, so it remains a race for the pure sprinters.

CANCER RESEARCH CHALLENGE
Leg 2 - New York City

Allan Davis
A rainy day in New York was capped off by a sprint victory for Drapac's Allan Davis ahead of Theo Bos. He gets his revenge on Cavendish for yesterday and moves into the ranking lead.
Ranking
 Allan Davis (Drapac) - 3
 Mark Cavendish (Sky) - 5
 Theo Bos (Lampre) - 5
Leg 3 - Auckland, New Zealand

Gert Steegmans
A two-man break stood no chance today. Cavendish looked to be best poised for another victory, but Gert Steegmans took to the front, and in typical fashion, just kept churning away until he hit the line. He gives us a reminder of the abilities that won him the TdF's maillot vert in season 1.
Rankings
 Mark Cavendish (Sky) - 7
 Theo Bos (Lampre) - 8
 Allan Davis (Drapac) - 9
Final Leg - Melbourne

Theo Bos + Mark Cavendish
A crash wipes out the top three in the rankings - Cavendish, Bos and Davis all go down! That leaves it as a drag race between Tyler Farrar (17) and Gert Steegmans (18).

Lars Ytting Bak
Farrar takes to the front and looks strong. A spectacular crash from Lars Ytting Bak doesn't take anyone big out, but after swerving around him, the other sprinters lose ground.

Tyler Farrar
Farrar is our victor in Melbourne, and wins the Cancer Research Challenge thanks to that crash of the top 3 ranked riders. As expected, it was consistency which prevailed.

Final Rankings
1 | Tyler Farrar | LOTTO | 18 | 2 | Gert Steegmans | QUICKSTEP | 27 | 3 | Assan Bazayev | ASTANA | 28 | 4 | Alexander Kristoff | COCA-COLA | 31 | 5 | Simon Gerrans | RABOBANK | 33 | 6 | Heinrich Haussler | CERVELO | 34 | 7 | Manuel Quinziato | COLDEPORTES | 45 | 8 | Lars Boom | RABOBANK | 60 | 9 | Matthew Goss | DRAPAC | 73 | 10 | André Greipel | ALLIANZ | 81 |

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
The results from across the globe are in, so lets find out who has won their respective national jerseys.
| Road | Time-Trial | | Michael Rogers (DPC) | Michael Rogers (DPC) | | Jurgen Van den Broeck (AST) | Kristoff Vandewalle (QST) | | Sergio Henao (CDP) | Nairo Quintana (LIB) | | Rasmus Guldhammer (CSC) | Lars Ytting Bak (LIQ) | | Pierrick Fedrigo (CER) | Jimmy Engoulvent (COF) | | Geraint Thomas (SKY) | Chris Froome (CSC) | | Markus Burghardt (BMC) | Tony Martin (LIB) | | Manuel Quinziato (CDP) | Manuel Quinziato (CDP) | | Maxim Inglinsky (AST) | Maxim Inglinsky (AST) | | Frank Schleck (JOK) | Bob Jungels (LAM) | | Stef Clement (RAB) | Stef Clement (RAB) | | Eduardo Corriea (LIB) | Rui Costa (CDP) | | Sogezo Jim (BMC) | Jay Thomson (SKY) | | Alejandro Valverde (CAI) | Luis Leon Sanchez (SAU) | | Gregory Rast (BOU) | Fabian Cancellara (CER) | | Mikhail Ignatiev (SAU) | Denis Menchov (LOT) | | Paul Kearns (BMC) | Taylor Phinney (SKY) |
- Alejandro Valverde is already back in winning ways for 2013, but since he wears the rainbow bands in all races as reigning league champion, neo-pro Laurencio Contreras, 2nd in the Spanish race, will wear the spanish bands in his place.
- Speaking of neo-pros, road race championships also went to all-new riders Eduardo Corriea, Rasmus Guldhammer and Paul Kearns, who all look to have bright futures ahead of them.
- There are plenty of dual-champions this year: Michael Rogers, Manuel Quinziato, Maxim Iglinsky and Stef Clement make up this contingent.
- Meanwhile, in South Africa, that's 3 times running for both road champion Songezo Jim and time-trialist Jay Thomson. Evidently someone needs to mix things up a little down south. |

There's always surprises in the Diamond Leaugue
I updated the Hall of Fame for the first time, though there isn't anything overly-interesting on there, yet. |

TOUR OF THE KENYAN HIGHLANDS
Past Winners
2012 - Frank Schleck (Joker)

Breakaway
A couple of riders want to show off their new national champion jerseys in the break - Rasmus Guldhammer and Laurencio Contreras join Karpets, Pinot and Crespo.

Flamme Rouge
Naturally they are caught, and in the end Paulinho, Petrov and Nieve head a group of 5 strongmen which head onto the final ramp.

Sergio Paulinho
Paulinho turns out to be the strongest and celebrates the victory!

Past Winners
2012 - Ruben Perez (Saunier)
This race acts as something of a transition, closing the pre-season, and moving us into a set of Italian races cumulating in Milan-San Remo. Ruben Perez wont defend his title since he has left the Diamond League for other pursuits.

The breakaway
Marcoux, Raimbekov, Hawdon and Cobo are the brave riders to go out on the attack early.

Attacks
50km to go and a number of riders decide to test their legs, including Tony Martin and Stijn Devolder.

The breakaway
However, the peleton becomes dis-organised when these attacks fail, and it now looks like the breakaway has a good chance to win.

Florien Marcoux
Neo-pro Marcoux tries to burst away as the quartet approach the final climb...

Il Diablo
But it comes back together on the slopes and these 4 will battle it out in a sprint.

Juan Jose Cobo
It's Cobo who is the strongest and completes a surprising victory for the breakaway! Saunier make it two wins from two at this race.
