I made it but it was really close. Finished 7th in the prologue but Hushovd and Boasson Hagen overtook me in with bonus seconds. I got third on the uphill finish of stage five behind Rogers and Moser, which vaulted me into fifth, then Terpstra won stage six and got in front, but I managed to grab three bonus seconds on the last stage Rogers eventually won, Hagen second, then Cancellara and Moser. Also, Dumoulin was very strong, scoring a second and a third place. It was a really nice race.
Should keep you in the world tour at least!

I finished first season as IAM Cycling.. Damn with the 19 teams in World Tour wild cards are hard to get a hold of.. I think i had about 5-6 wild cards for the whole season, no GT's
Which made it CRAZY easy.. no GT's meant all my good riders were free to run wild in 2.hc events and lesser stage races.. At the start of the season, these races were tough with the WT teams putting good riders in for form. but by August, pretty much competed with pro-conti and conti teams.. and it was a demolition.. I originally did not want to promote to WT because of finances, but it was unavoidable.
Between Haussler winning nearly every stage on the flat, and Larsson/Lokvist winning everything with a climb, racked up about 4680 points for the season... easy first place.
I tried to keep new signings for the WT on the low side, but unfortunately required a cash injection via editor to make the team interesting for season 2...

Betancur finished 9th in Tirreno-Adriatico (Bakelandts won) and I'm third in the WT rankings with ~190 points now. I will edit the DB at the end of the season so that 3 teams will have to relegate, but still I think that 350-400 points should be enough, and I have half of it already, so yeah, I think it looks good
€dit: I just had the biggest WTF moment of my entire PCM life. I won MSR with Betancur, Matteo Montaguti finished second. Betancur went to the front with Dot 90 on the Poggio, to be in a position to counter possible attacks. I had a quick look for Dumoulin, and all of a sudden, Betancur and Montaguti were 1'30 in front... The pack didn't react, Betancur eventually finished 2'17 in front, Montaguti saved 1'11 on Goss. Really strange, probably still the Dot-bug, but I guess I won't be able to top that anytime soon ^^

Finally started my Astana career after the PCM Daily 2013 DB came out. Spend a lot of time getting all the schedules set up in the most optimal way, but it's really paying off now. First, Gasparotto and Iglinskiy crushed the competition in the Tour Down Under, ending 1 & 2 in the GC. Then Paris-Nice (5th with Fuglsang) and Tirreno-Adriatico (5th with Brajkovic) were tough and we had no one for the cobbled classics and Sanremo, but Iglinskiy had a really nice April spree with 2nd in Pais Vasco, 2nd in Amstel Gold Race, 3rd in Fleche Wallonne and finally taking the win in Liege.
From here on, it was Nibali time, who took the queen's stage in Romandie 2 minutes ahead of Wiggins and Pozzovivo, thus securing the GC easily. Now I'm doing the Giro, in which Nibali already took two stages before even beating Wiggins in the time trial. He was 1'18 behind before the little climb at the end and ended 23 seconds ahead of his rival. So, I guess we'll be winning this Giro easily.
I'm also very confident for the Vuelta (Nibali) and Lombardia (Iglinskiy), because the season planning looks really good. Tour will suck though, although Guardini might take a stage win and Brajkovic will normally ride into the top-10. Now I have a question: as things are seemingly too easy on hard, how big is the difference with extreme?
Gets to June, go to renew contracts... 11 rider decide to leave the team! WTF?
We had won 50% of the races we entered, were 1000pts clear in the WT ranking and 2000 in the CQ. Our riders were 1-2 in WT, 1-3 in CQ.
We won MSR, E3, RVV, PR and AGR!
6th in PN, 4th in TA, 11th in Catalunya, 7th in PV, 5th in Romandie, 11th in Giro, 8th in Dauphine and 8th in Suisse.
All were very happy, all had money and length asked for as well!
By end of the Tour i had signed, Goss, Pinot, Rolland, Cancellara, Viviani, Boeckmans and Cataldo!
Decided that with Boonen, Cav's, Martin and Velits still in the team that was too much and have restarted as a custom team.
wow that is an epic team Manx.. i can completely understand how you feel after getting a crazy squad with the Coca Cola team.. kinda feels like there is no challenge and can win everything.

What do you have to edit for that to happen?

I think its as simple as assigning the 3rd worst team (of your choosing not the game) in the editor with the save game during the off-season, then assigning it the division number of the pro-continental instead of ProTour like it will have. (I think you would be changing the number from 1 -> 2 and would likely be in dyn_team although I haven't done much editing (or playing) of PCM in a long while.
You will probably want to move a Pro-Conti team down to Continental as well to keep the numbers balanced.
Edit:
And Im sure if this doesn't explain it, someone else will be able to that isn't just about to go to bed Plus Cunego may have planned on doing it a different way.

Thanks! I'll be doing that at the end of the season for sure!

That's strange !
Next season try to sign them in February, when they have no results.
Was doubling for a week which team to choose,RadioShack Trek or Blanco, and finally decided to go with Blanco ( a bit weaker team,it will be more interesting ). Won 1 stage at Santos TDU (had an amazing training camp,my riders are about 80 fitness).Goals TOP5 in TdF with Gesink, Top5 in Giro with Mollema and 1 of the classics with Vanmarcke . At the end of the season my transfer goals are: Tony Gallopin , Peter Sagan (that will be hard) , or John Degenkolb (instead of Sagan).
Both i guess.
Quite a lot or people view it as cheating as its something th AI can't use, and it gives a rather large boost.
But its part of the game so isnt actually cheating.
I like to think of it as Doping

Well,i wont use them anymore,i am new so i still have to adjust to some things
Playing with Lampre, hard difficulty, 2013 pcmdaily db. Never played with them before, but it's a nice team, with some great talents.
TDU - 5th overall with Wackermann, break made it on stage one and didn't lose too much time in next stages.
P-N - 2nd overall with Ulissi. Cunego was the leader, but he couldn't get away most of the time and finished 11th overall.
T-A - Sent my MSR line-up here to get some form. Managed to get 6th overall with Pozzato. Some big names lost time due to a crash .
MSR - Won with Petacchi and 5th with Ferrari. Formed a train with Favilli - Pozzato - Petacchi - Ferrari on the Poggio. Didn't really think it would work, but Petacchi didn't lose much energy and the big sprinters where to far back I think.
Catalunya - 5th with Cunego. Lost some time on the only mountain stage.
E3 - 4th with Pozzato
G-W - 3rd with Favilli and 5th with Pozzato. Cancellara and Flecha rode away. Nobody else wanted to ride, so I saved energy for the sprint
RvV - 10th with Pozzato. Got blocked and got on the wrong side of a break and had to chase after the first group containing Cancellara and Boonen, so had no chance to get back.
Now 2nd in the World Tour rankings behind Radioshack. Considering to change difficulty to extreme.

Chose Sagan as your main transfer priority, that will give him to think, eventually refuse a prolongation with his actual team .

it´s true, a lot of players see training camps as "cheating", since the AI can´t use it. on the other hand, if u play on hard or extreme, the AI: s attributes have a little more value than your riders, so some might say it´s even. I consider it as cheating though, but it´s part of the game so feel free to use it. but for me, I get a lot of satisfaction when I win on extreme and if I use training camps I wouldn´t be that happy. but it all comes down to the point where you feel your victory was satisfying

As Lachi would sort of say: what's the point of playing in hard/extreme and using training camps to boost your rider stats? Just play on normal then
