Fancy doing a bit of cooperation on the Tour of Britain? Ive effectively already made some of the 2013 stages based on the zcts files that I already have. I had in mind to make some of the 2013 ones aswell, but no point having 2 versions of them
Sure!
Which ones have you basically done then?
Stage 8 is already done, Stage 5 is almost there too. Stage 6 and Stage 7 could be done quite a bit already also, Im just having a compare of the routes at the moment.

Really interesting? Well, I can agree that it's different and it might be cool depending on the situation, but honestly I can't think of any race that would be more boring to play, not even Tour of Edwin Abbott's Flatland (thanks Sheldon)
Must say the route is interesting though, also considering some stages seem to have some sort of "uniqueness" (Le Mans race track, RVV cobbled climbs, etc)

@Jesl
no problem, was different
@sutty
thanks
@lluuiiggii
i had limited scope for creativity... but i did slide in as much variation as is possible with tt's.
A race thats boring to play... sounds like a challenge
@isso
Thats my ToB variant!

Come on, I can't say it's boring, since it's for a fantasy DB where I do a lot of work for
And I think the stages, at least some of them, are very interesting to play, honestly

Going to be a good few weeks until the ToB stages are done, as i am 1) not doing a lot of PCM whilst at home and 2) going to make it sooooo damn amazingly accurate and good and 3) need to do some stages for a db project first

These are five criteriums based around the five monuments of cycling. Together they test every part of a cyclist, and only the very best can take victory.
Giro di San Remo
The sprinters classic, La Primavera, is the opening race. It begins on the edge of town and heads out towards the Poggio. The race will have to climb the Poggio's eastern side 4 times in the race. The finish is on the Via San Rocca right down by the waterside.
The short race is 57km
The monument version is 288km
Ronde Kwaremont
The Tour of Flanders combines tough hills and cobbled roads to make a tough test. The new route hasn't been loved, but it does make for a great criterium route. Tackling both the Oude-Kwaremont and the Paterburg this is a hard race.
The short race is 57km
The monument version is 254km
Grand Prix de Roubaix
The Hell of the North is the biggest cobbled race in the world. It is one of the hardest races ever and only the very hardest of men can hope to win. With a finish in the Velodrome this crit is a bit light on cobbles, but still tough enough to deter all but the best.
The short race is 61km
The monument version is 261km
Liege Challenge
La Doyenne is the Grandfather of cycling. Its famous hills have seen countless action over the years. The criterium starts by the river and tackles the Cote de Saint-Nicolas, albeit from a different angle. Its not perhaps the obvious climb but it has its history and benefits.
The short race is 54km
The monument version is 257km
GP Lombardia
The climbers classic takes place in the autumn time. Il Lombardia is known for tough climbs and tough weather. The criterium doesn't use the actual route a lot, but the essence of the race is protected and enhanced as the riders pass over the Monte Regina, and the finish is atop the climb itself.
The short race is 55km
The monument version is 258km

Here is a fun fact... Mount Everest is 8,848m high meaning there is more climbing than Mt. Everest in the GP Lombardia! Its like Mt Everest + Col de la Madeleine + a bit more

2013 Pearl Izumi Tour Series
I made the 2012 Halfords Tour Series, and this is the update for the new season. 11 rounds across the UK, all around 50km in length, all with 3 sprints, and all guaranteed to be fun!
Round 1 Kirckaldy 50km Flat
The series begins in Scotland with a flat blast around the coastal town. The lines are located along the seafront creating a beautiful backdrop to this opening round.
Round 2 Durham 52km Hilly/Cobbled
The second round moves down to Durham. The cathedral and university city hosts a changed route, this time featuring two cobbled sections and some different climbing.
Round 3 Stoke-on-Trent 52.9km Hilly
The series keeps going south to Stoke. This round is again hilly, but in more of a rolling fashion than one big climb. The home of Node4 will make for a different race.
Round 4 Aberystwyth 48.6km Flat
Into Wales for Round 4. The new route is now a flat race rather than hilly. The start/finish/sprints are again on the seafront. Note the odd houses, sorry...
Round 5 Torquay 44.8km Hilly
Cornwall hosts the next race. This is the shortest round but is packed with 7 climbs to shake things up. Its a downhill finish which opens the race up more to the daring.

Round 6 Colchester 52.4km Flat
Right across the country to Colchester. Back with a simple flat stage around the historic Roman town. Perfect for the sprinters with easy turns and open roads.
Round 7 Redditch 50.1km Flat
Back to Redditch for a rolling day. Classed as flat there are some steep slopes, including up to the line, just to shake things up. Probably the most open round of the series.
Round 8 London 48.6km Flat
Canary Wharf hosts one of the most popular rounds. Again very flat, very open and very perfect for the sprinters. The famous locale makes a unique backdrop.
Round 9 Woking 50.8km Flat/Cobbled
Wokings cobbles made for a great race, and this year there are more of them! Its a tough race with a finishing sprint on the rough stuff, even if it is flat.
Round 10 Aylsham 46.1km Flat
Out into East Anglia for double digits. Awesomely flat and designed for a sprint this race is. The small town hopes to boost its self with this race and it should be a good one.
Round 11 Ipswich 51km Flat/Cobbled
The final round is hosted in Ipswich. Again there are cobbles, one short section and one long section. The race finishes over the long section so it should be an interesting finish.

Notes: Some odd housing in Aberystwyth... you'll spot it. For some reason i couldn't get them to disappear but anyway... Otherwise its all good!
