But I think it would be nice to see the stage before you will race them, I don't consider it as cheating. Real teams do that also irl.
As long as other teams do it as well, yeah. But since other teams still don't go on training camp after 8 games, I'd doubt it.

I'd really like to recon stages, but I don't want any bonusses. But I guess that won't be possible, so I'll just skip the recon, bit. I've heard you can also train TTT, I hope that won't give you any bonus, because I could use TTT training. |

but in the game you don't need to 'know' the route, in real life thea have to know turns in front of the finish but in game you have no advantege when you know it... |

I guess that's probably not even the case. Maybe it just gives you the guarantee that no daily form on that stage is below 0.

Yeah, TTT training would be great. |

That could be possible.
It wouldn't make much sense, though. Knowing the route wouldn't stop a rider from having a bad day
Cyanide, Cyanide, Cyanide, what a mystery to me |

Sure.
One could argue that if you strategically choose the important mountain stages, it's slightly realistic as GC riders often focus on these stages and prepare themselves different, so bad days are less likely than on a random flat stage.
Very optimistic argumentation though

You can play a single stage to do the recon.
It wont be cheating and you can play it as times as you want...
Also the TTT, you can play it as times with the riders you desire... and improve the times.
Nothing in real life (even recon) gives you more good feelings.

The point is - AI teams won't and will not get any bonus from it. If they can't use this bonus, why should us ( human players ) ?

because, It's a game, why not use the features that cyanide put in to make it a more enjoyable experience?
Otherwise we may as well just write a letter to cyanide, saying "It's okay Cya, we don't need you to make us a game, the AI dont turn on there PC and play it, so why should we be able to?"
Okay, tad OTT, but you get my point?

I get it.
But it's a choice everyone has to make, no one's saying anything if you use it.
I personally don't use training camp just because I don't like seeing the skill going down after a month I like consistanty, I like to know my rider and what he can do all year through.

But maybe we should wait to know what it actually does before saying "Cya-logic" to every new feature?
On other news, as the screens must have remembered, the open bar is going on at the Cyanide forum. Honestly didn't find the questions much interesting, and for whatever reason couldn't find PCMDaily questions (on the news comments), unfortunately because I got very curious on some of those. But well it's not over yet
Any changes on the sponsors? Will it be renewable ?
There has been some bug fixes on the sponsor, but the feature is globally the same. Sponsor are not renewable in the version 1.0.0.0 of the game, but it is scheduled for a patch. When the feature will be done, career won't have to start from 0 to have it, it will apply in every season.
But this.. are you kidding Cyanide? I mean, they've had a whole year to implement one of the imo most important features of the game (which is yes, a "bugfix" ), and it's been scheduled for a patch. Nice. But look at the bright side, at least the buttons colors have changed. Bit disappointed here

To be fair, I don't actually use them either, more playing a sorta devils advocate?
I see no problem with people using them if they want to though, Cya did put them there to be used after all

Here's what has been said on route reconnaissance ;
It means that route reconnaissance will only give a good daily form on the selected stage and that it'll slightly increase the climbing stat.
The AI can't use it. I think it somehow the same thing as the training camp. |

Does the last bit, mean it is compatible with ongoing careers, the part about not having to start from 0?
And about route recon, its the thought that counts

Nice screens, mailbox looks awful, but i like the new in-game interface. There is return of the beautiful profile map, that is the most important part. Who cares about racing options, when you can have such a nice minimap

that sucks - i was really looking forward to try out that new feature because it sounded nice somehow but if ai doesnt do it then its no fun using it at all
on the other hand the 3d mode screens look really nice it may be a minor thing but still i like the new layout & map although before i thought i wouldnt care about that
also cant wait to experience the new season planner
