The first punch yes. The second one is absolutely disgusting, it's getting very, very, close to needing the police to have a look. It has no place in rugby.

Fucking gutting that [also gutting that we have a thread for kick and clap but not for the proper game ), terrible to lose to Saints, first punch was tit-for-tat retaliation [just a cracking connection] but the second was completely unacceptable. Good job from Wigan short-staffed in the end but not enough in a fairly poor quality game. At least our youthful squad should mean onwards and upwards next year.

Anybody watching Ireland v South Africa? Huge match for us, against possibly the best team in the world right now.

Decent effort by England today but the rugby New Zealand played to the conditions was superb. |

These Autumn Internationals would have been a lot better if games only lasted 70 minutes!
Wales 16 - New Zealand 15 with 10 minutes to go today turned into an unfortunate Wales 16 - New Zealand 34, with tries such as this:

Just saw the last 30 mins of Australia v Ireland, decent match but Ireland's defence late were far too strong. A well-deserved win for them in the end.

Arggggh. Not sure how many people on the forum really care about the Rugby World Cup, but such an emotional rollercoaster the past two days in the Quarter Finals. So gutted for Wales yesterday, and now Scotland today.
In general it's been arguably the best Rugby World Cup (Japan!!), and has been great to be able to attend 6 games across the tournament. Will now shift allegiances to Argentina after seeing them beat Ireland today, but New Zealand look unstoppable.

I don't watch much rugby, but watched the Scotland vs Australia game and have to admit it was a great watch. Gutted Scotland couldn't hold on actually, they kept coming back at Australia every time they conceded points and arguably shouldn't have conceded that penalty at the end.
Will probably have to watch the semis now. |

I'm not bragging until this is over
But for the Sotuhern hemisphere to have the top four in a northern cup Wish Scotland could have beaten the Aussies though, they played magnificently even with an Aussie off-day.
As a half-Welsh I'm gutted not to see them progress either If they had their full strength squad they would have made it to semis at least, they deserve a final after being screwed over by the ref in 2011 and screwed over by bad luck this year.

24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."
