No joke, I legit thought Lambert crossed the line first even in real time, i was gonna reverse it back and look again but then I realised I couldnt be fucked and just ignored it but that looks like solid evidence... |

U21 WC is up: https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread....st_1289439
Spoiler Incredible solo by Sardinian's next Grand Tour winner! Also the time trial WC Torres again with a very decent ride, but he was unfortunately caught by the others which made an Italian 1-2-3 possible. |

Torres
Impressive turn-out for Italy here. Spaniards just a tad too young this year.

I feel like I should've owned both U21 WCs, there's bad luck and then there's coming as physically close to signing them as possible, being beaten once by a tiebreaker and once by the physical constraints of the game and my time.

My thoughts on the world championships:
ITT - Only 13th for Dumoulin is disappointing when so many other TT riders were strong. Van Baarle was ok, and Gesink just keeps rolling on with solid (if unspectacular) results.
U21 - Two of the riders I elected not to sign did ok, hopefully I won't live to regret that. Nice from Brouwers, he's riding against much older competition so I'm not worried that he was slightly off the pace. Maybe I should've focused more on Korea than the rest of SE Asia.
U23RR - Pretty solid from Koejoe, he wasn't the Dutch leader but still did quite well. The same goes for Imai, who was the 2nd in line for Japan while Bekker was more of a support rider it seems,
U21RR - Two good performances from our young signings here, again they're proving capable against older and stronger climbers.

Road Race is up!
Spoiler Great result for the Italian team winning the next Road Race gold medal (and both of them were by Sardinians!) Nibali was disappointing, so it was good to see Aru save the Italian squad.
I'm kind of sorry that again the racing was kind of boring. When selecting the route I did a few test runs and the race usually was much more exciting.

Grande Aru. Put it in a great attack up there and still sealed it in the sprint. Bertie & Herrada also with two very strong tries. If Aru and Herrada had banded together, I am sure they could have stayed away since the peloton was already ripped off most doms and Italy and Spain both a watch dog behind.
Spain only with one medal is a bit disappointing but good last race.

Congrats Aru and Italy! A worthy winner, Aru dared to attack a long way out and forced the selection behind him.
Should I be worried as a newly promoted WT team to only have three riders in the race? Poels was our best rider as 29th, while the qualification race winner Monsalve was 155th, finishing even behind Degenkolb.

Only two of our riders starting in the road race if I saw that right. Voss not doing much but Caruso was part of the winning team, congrats Aru!
