As I promised you, I would like to post the ITT World Championships. A race about almost 46 kilometres but the terrain isn´t that hard. The biggest favourites for today might be Tony Martin, Levi Leipheimer, Vande Velde, Dave Zabriskie, Cadel Evans, Alberto Contador and of course Fabian Cancellara. Cancellara´s shape wasn´t really great in front of the Vuelta so I´m not sure if he can take another win at the WC
The first one setting a great time was also the biggest surprise of today´s race. Gustavo Cesar Veloso came in a great shape from Spain and takes the lead for the moment! 1h06´49
As the American manager for today, I had big hopes in Dave Zabriskie. Unfortunately his season was too long and he wasn´t able to beat Veloso! 1h07´25
The same happened to Alberto Contador. He was really exhausted after a hard season but at least he could beat Zabriskie´s time but his Spanish team-mate Veloso was better. 1h07´05
Next one was Fabian Cancellara with an amazing time. We didn´t know if this time is enough to take the win but for the moment it´s good enough to beat Veloso by 20 seconds! 1h06´29
Cancellara´s time wasn´t the best for a long time because Levi was already on the road and he was just destroying every time by Cancellara! He took the lead with an incredible time, beating Fabian by 45 seconds! 1h05´44
Tony Martin was the last German today and he was also the best. After a great Giro and an amazing Vuelta he was exhausted and he lost more than one minute to Levi Leipheimer. 1h06´55
Cadel Evans hadn´t a great season so far and his time today wasn´t good, too. He got a nice Top 10 result, beating Dave Zabriskie by 3 seconds but I don´t think he is happy with that. 1h07´22
Last but not least, Christian Vande Velde with a great ride! Well, his shape wasn´t good enough to beat Cancellara or Leipheimer but he took a great podium for Team USA! 1h06´37. That means Levi Leipheimer is the new ITT World Champion in front of Cancellara and Vande Velde!

Yes, Mouris was a big surprise over the whole season! He got many good results in ITT´s |

Strong race with Team USA and especially Leipheimer of course.
Veloso must have been one of the few riders without too much races and a perfect preparation. |

These are the results of the road race. The race process was really strange. I´ve never seen so many attacks and it was hard to follow  Ivanov was the strongest in the end while Hushovd won the sprint against Davis and Leipheimer who did another great race. Ivanov had a small gap after his attack but there was no time gap as the sprinters were quite fast

No not really, there were many groups but unfortunately there weren´t any time gaps in the end. It was a strange final... |

That´s it guys! I think we´ve had a long season and I´d like to thank you for supporting this story with great comments! I will take a short story break by now and I hope to be back later with PCM 10 and a small German Continental Team ( NetApp!?) Hopefully this one will be just like the last one. So I´ll relax from now on and I´m sure, I´m going to enjoy the other stories So see you..... |

Thanks for taking so much time to entertain us with your story.
It was great to read how much is possible with "weaker" stage racers.
Hope we will be able to enjoy a Continental PCM 10 story. NetApp would be a great choice. |

I'm a bit late saying this but thanks for writing this story. It's a great acheivment to keep the story going at such a high standard for so long. Enjoy PCM10! A story with NetApp at some stage would be great. |
