Chavito wont be at the Vuelta.. Team says they dont know what the issue is, I believe its probably the same that has stopped him last year from being at his best (maybe past injuries having an effect..)

Vicente Garcia de Mateos is provisionally suspended after irregularities on his biological passport. He, who after Raul Alarcon, has the most “obvious doper” written all over him, in the Portuguese teams. Same happened with Ibai Salas and Igor Merino from Burgos (another shocker). No surprise after his Volta a Portugal last year.

Team currently known as Quickstep might race as Wolfpack in 2019.

No title sponsor has been found. Lefevre hopes that Alaphillipe's results will open up for the French market potentially.

In my personal news of the month, Lennard Kämna appears to be back in racing tomorrow at the Tour of Denmark!
A perfect race to get back into the pro peloton, with four mainly flat stages and a 20km time trial.
If it's going well, I could still see him ride Deutschland Tour and the WT classics for a buildup to the WC TTT, possibly even defending his medal in the U23 road race.

If only he was still useful.

Some riders are basically just for road captains and pace making or because they add some fun element to the bus.
Luke Rowe, Markus Burghardt, Matti Breschel, Immanol Erviti, Christian Knees...
Not sure about Breschel though as EF Education has Simon Clarke fitting perfectly already in there as such type of rider. |

Thomas will never win a GT imo. Not good enough for 3 weeks of big mountains imo.
Bernal would be the better bet but I think without Froome, it`s Movistar`s time or potentially Bardet.
Hmmm...
