Oleg Tinkov will again moan about 2agan. But still a good stage for the yong Slovak, who has now alost secured the points jersey. Also GVA is way too strong. |

Should be in the main group, meaning he'll lose time on all his competitors.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

if they put him in Froome's time he gains some cheap seconds on Rolland, Barguil etc

Well, if I was a cyclist then I would rather choose 26(or whatever he have now) stage wins + 1 green, then 2nd places and some green jerseys... |

"I'm not upset, I'm pissed. It's different" - Peter Sagan after a fourth 2nd place today. |

Gesink only had to produce 685W to stay with the GC guys at the finish - what's that roughly 10W/Kg for him just for the last minute of the stage.
Really interesting to see all his numbers on Strava unlike some of the abridged info you see from other pros

Really thought he was going to get around GVA when he had his wheel. Looked like he was peddling pretty easy and just waiting for the perfect moment.
Was very surprised when that didnt happen. |

Yes but at 7 secs, not 3 mins like the finishers around him. |

Mollema was far ahead of Rolland, Bardet, Barguil etc on similar finishes on Mur de Huy and Mur de Bretagne.
So it would be more outreagous if he lost minutes because of an unfortunate flat. He would have 99% sure finishes with the heads of state or better if he didn't had a mechanical. He is good on finishes like this |

still cant give him that time, because he wasnt there... mechanicals are part of racing anyway... just ask gesink...

Personal opinons about how good riders are don't matter here, he should've been placed in the main group, not with the riders that attacked from it.

Normally I would agree with you but in this case there just wasn't any main group anymore so it is quite a tricky case.

Still though, you can't give him hypothetical time on other GC contenders. Why not just give him GVA's time then?
