So, it seems the owner of SaxoBank knew nothing of Riis's suspension until it came out in the news. |

A whole blog piece on our favourite 4th place finisher!
"So far in his 11 year career he has finished in the top-10 of a race 258 times with nine wins but 43 fourth places. "

No surprise that Tinkoff didn't let them know what was going on, it would be a big surprise to see Saxo continue to be involved next year

So Zorzoli is again working for the UCI...
After checking the CIRC reports etc. they came to the conclusion that he was neither involved in the Leinders/Rabobank issue, nor in the Lance Armstrong affair. |

I am pretty sure the author is a member or at least a reader here. Lots of little things over the years that hint at that like this.

I can't remember off the top of my head but I remember having several conversations on this site in the past which then bore some resemblance to stuff that came up on inrng not long afterwards. I think Aquarius and I had a PM exchange about it a while ago but my PM inbox is too full with MG stuff to find that easily.

It would make sense. Guys behind a site like inrng live and breath cycing. Only natural that they also play a game about it as well and check in here now and then for downloads & co.
However, Rojas Fourth Place is a common thing in every cycling forum & blog I've ever visited.

I've come to appreciate the name Saxo in cycling since I always like long-term sponsorship in Cycling. But they'd be stupid to keep working with a man like Tinkoff. Maybe they should just look for another team to sponsor.
I'd like to see the 2011 of Saxo Bank jerseys back in the peloton. Looked so uber stylish (& I actually wanted to buy a Thermo Jacket of it )

With Cancellara and Boonen both gone, the trails of that era are gone.

It has now been confirmed that Riis have been sacked from Tinkoff-Saxo.
No further details regarding why, and a confidientiality clause is enacted, so it will probably be some years before we get to know the full details.

Full goodbye to cycling from Riis or will he stay in some other capacity? Perhaps as organizer of exclusive "cycling-tourism" events as he's already begun with/for Saxo Bank (the Bank, not the team) or as a scout/rider manager?

Seems like it's BS from the Telegraaf, which is not unusual from this newspaper. |

Riis could be forced out of cycling anyway once the ADD report comes out, guesss there is a Gran Fondo for him to run like the ex postal posse

Boonen might race Paris Roubaix. Will do reckon and decide after.
Edit: Other tweet says the chance he'll start is only 1% so don't get your hopes up
