Ok, I take that back. Just accept that we are here.
And there is the potential with better funding and advertising (ND High Performance new initiative in this world) New Zealand winter, especially at altitude, is directly suitable for CD. We just don't have someone with lots of money who cares. You can say we only have 4.5million people, but we are the top rugby team, up there at cricket, good at rowing, good at track cycling because that discipline and those (and more) sports (and now also football and road) is what NZHP care about. Not CD. But this is a fantasy world (NZHP gives a rat's) while also being realistic (potential). It's like if Frrome (road trained by GB, who care) was brought up riding for Kenya, never living in GB. He wouldn't be as good. If you've met a true kiwi (not being cocky about our nation) you'll see why we're good without being rich of having a huge pool of people to pick from. Well, the reason which doesn't involve scabbing the Pacific island's best rugby players.
Uhm, you really don't have to justify yourself to me. You made those riders and you should enjoy them. I as a CX fan just find it weird to spot so many "unfamiliar" nations and it's a bit of a drag to me personally but alas, different views and so on. Important thing is that everybody enjoys it.

This looks interesting. When is the deadline for signing up?
I think you should hurry up since (unofficial) rider limit seems to be almost reached. So go go mvh, would be a shame if you miss this one.

There's recreating the real world cx series and there's reimagining it as a game. I don't think the NZL and GBR teams are at all realistic but are they ridiculous? Adjust the stats downwards and no.
Afghanistan riders are pretty unrealistic, one is fun but more is pushing it to me. But if you say no there then some event locations are questionable as well.

Ah ok
Final rider:
Name: Mario Guido
Nationality (region): Italy (Tuscany)
Date of Birth: 13/04/1996
Height: 1m63
Weight: 57
Specialty: Sprinting
Weakness: Cyclocross
Biography: Another road rider trying to gap the winter by riding a few occasional cyclocrosses. He's not expected to win much though, as he doesn't take ice, mudd, cobbles or sand too well. Should there be a fast race or a hard surface, you can't count him out though, as his sprint speed is amongst the best of the field.
Stats: [Choose between: very low, low, medium, high, very high]
Bike Handling (technical): high
Sand: very low
Uphill: medium
Cobblestones: very low
Sprinting: very high
Explosiveness: very high
Flat (TT/riding hard): high
Power: high
Running: very low
Snow/Ice: very low
Jumping: very low
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

People, please, no need to fight about it here
I didn't want to names because of their obvious humour. I want to run a serious role-playing game and such names make it harder to do, you see?
I want realism, but not in the way that you think. For me it's unimportant that there are many riders from New Zealand or Afghanistan or something, That's not the realism I meant. That's totally up to you.
I just mean that the role-playing should be realistic. Hope that makes sense to everyone.
EDIT: sort of TMM's point, I reckon.

Nice to see that most of my races made the calendar, 7 of 11 is pretty good, too bad I didn't have time for the others though, had a great idea for some of them, but there is always next season for some new races.
It's also good to see that some of my more interesting ones like Trondheim and Melbourne made it, because hopefully they will make interesting racing and I was just wondering, does my Genève race take place on Christmas day? EDIT: Just read back a bit, really happy to have two classics and 1 of the more prestigious ones.
I was hoping my Netherlands route would make it, as Netherlands is one of the main cyclo-cross nations but there was another race from there, so it's not to bad, I might make another rider now and suggest a team though (just a team in general, not specific for my riders):
Name: Randstad
Nationality: Netherlands
Budget: high
Name: Fabrizio Lorenzi
Nationality (region): Italy
Date of Birth: 24/3/1993
Height: * 174cm
Weight: * 70kg
Specialty: ** Loves good weather _ Fast Finishes
Weakness: ** Bad in Bad Weather + Slow Starts
Biography: Fabrizio Lorenzi is a young Italian cyclo-cross sprinter, he is explosive and fast at the finish but struggles at the start of a race and on climbs. He got this sprinting skill from his bmx days and he is very mobile and good at taking risks, unfortunately his bmx upbringing limits him from bad weather, the starts of races, sand, cobblestones, ice and snow. But Frabizio will be up there in more varied races, with a fast ending.
Stats: [Choose between: very low, low, medium, high, very high]
Bike Handling (technical): high
Sand: low
Uphill: very low
Cobblestones: low
Sprinting: high
Explosiveness: very high
Flat (TT/riding hard): medium
Power: low
Running: medium
Snow/Ice: very low
Jumping: medium
I will submit my final rider later today (or do I have two more, I should check that).
Also, do we actually have to submit what races our riders are targeting?

My Russian rider will join the Children of Chernobyl team if that's all good.
Also if possible, my German and Frenchman would like to join Team Vittel.

Upon request here's some extra info on a few of my races:
Oostende
Spoiler Based right down at the sea front this course is a classic! It's tough, fast, technical and a true challenge event. Cobbled roads covered in sea spray and sandy dunes will do everything possible to make the riders tumble hard. Survive that and the sharp climbs will bite just as hard.
Dunkirk
Spoiler Another event right by the sea. Mostly on the beach itself the surface will be the biggest challenge. Climbing up the dunes to cobbled tracks and twisting back down it's a tricky course for good bike handlers and those with good techniques. Wind swept and sandy it's a sapping race.
New York
Spoiler Central Park and the skyline make this an instant hit. Thousands should gather to watch the worlds best tackle the tighest of courses. Constantly turning due to the compact location it's race for the explosive. Just one crossover bridge, no cobbles or tarmace. The surface is going to be muddy and cold. This race is all about the spectacle.
Rio de Janeiro
Spoiler Hosted on the world famous Copacabana Beach this is another showpiece event. Sand is everywhere, even on the brief stone sections. It's a very short track packing in the turns again suiting the exlosive riders. Not much climbing but some nice rolling sections make chances. Regardless the riders can enjoy the setting and weather.
Seattle
Spoiler Imagine your classic Belgian CX event. Great beer, great food, cold mud and a rolling and obstacle littered course. Now take that image and place it in Seattle and that is this event. Simple!
Antofagasta
Spoiler It's a beautful location. The ground is firm and rocky providing good traction for the riders. Few technical challenges the best places to gain time are on the various climbs dotting the route. Certainly a location not many have heard of but this event could be great and make it a household name.
Bristol
Spoiler The route is based around the docks area so is steeped in history. The defining features are the climbs to shatter the riders morale. Combine that with some of the toughest technical challenges and turns anywhere in the world on this expertly constructed temporary course. The potential for a mistake strewn and surprising race.
Torku
Spoiler Imagine Paris-Roubaix with it's cold, damp, cobbles and dirt. Then shrink it and put it on a CX course. Torku hosts a very tough event combining rough roads with sharp climbs. Not that technical and good, if rough, surfaces should open this up to the power riders and specialists.
Portland
Spoiler Another classic style CX course but this time focusing mostly on testing the riders technical abilities rather than their climbing skills or power. It's not a physically tough course but a mentally tough one.

For those eagerly awaiting the start of the game and the start of the role-playing, you can already take a look at the calendar (in the second post) and think about your main goals for the season
It's not necessary to submit this to me. Instead, you can release this information as you will once the role-playing thread is set up.
What I do still expect from most of you is a team that your rider wishes to join. Or you give me a list of preferences, that's even better. I will already start putting the riders in teams. Only PM me if you really want to be with a specific team.
@trekbmc: Thanks for the races. Geneve will take place on Wednesdag 24 or December, or 25th, I'm not sure yet |

Teams can be found here. (https://pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=37457&rowstart=120#post_1002602)
Two new teams should be included: Team Odfjell
Randstad
But you can still make more, too.
Yes, TMM, I liked most of your races, there are some very interesting spectacles planned with your races |

ok, cool Just happy to equal TMM in the prestige and I think we together made all the classics. But I wanted to make mostly Europe, which guarantees not getting all.
and my final rider, I'll put it in a spoiler so as to not detract from the rest of the post.
Spoiler Name: Jan Kováĉ
Nationality (region): Czech Republic
Date of Birth: 30/1/1982
Height: * 172cm
Weight: * 72kg
Specialty: ** Consistent + Strong + Good Bike Handler
Weakness: ** Age + Motivation + Slow Finisher
Biography: Jan Kováĉ has been cyclo-cross rider from a very young age, practically all his life, he has won classics, the superprestige cup and many other events, but his best is behind him and now the very powerful 33 year old lacks punch, he lacks that ability to win. He now works a very strong and experienced team mate for younger riders.
Stats: [Choose between: very low, low, medium, high, very high]

Uphill: low
Cobblestones: medium
Sprinting: very low
