127. Somehow missed Gerrans but remembered some stupid breakaway riders.

Problem is, according to Europcar team manager, is that the medium/long term plan is to create a closed league like in US Sports, which all three French teams don't agree with. This is the reason why they didn't join Velon. No idea why Movistar, Katusha and Astana didn't though. |

Next year's Ronde Van Vlaanderen will have 2 additional climbs. The Tiegemberg returns as historical opening climb, just before the first of 3x Oude Kwaremont. The Berendries returns after road works that blocked it. That gives us a total of 19 climbs, ending with Koppenberg, Steenbeeksdries, Taaienberg, Hotond, Oude Kwaremont and Patersberg.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Le TdF Quiz: 104/135
CQ Quiz (2nd try): 72/100
That´s: 7.7 + 7.2 = 14.9 : 2 = 7.45
That´s an average mark! Bye!

I am not sure it's classified as news nowadays, it's quite common to be fair, but anyway, 20-year old Astana CT-rider Artur Fedosseyev from Kazachstan tests positive for steroids.

Wen will it stop for Astana? I'm sure we'll see a few more before the end of the year. |

CT Team again, although this time actually taken whilst on team duty at the Tour de l'Ain. Usual stuff about limited connections to main team etc etc. Really without another main team positive Astana themselves should be fine. The Kazakh federation however is in trouble, and this will also put extra scrutiny on their Winter Olympic bid in the wider sporting world

Good news on all four counts!
Nice to see that Niemiec gets another go at leadership at a GT (although they don't really have many other options do they), hopefully he can recapture some of his 2013 form and finish in the top 10.
