Good again by Pedraza. Very small gaps though, but at least he's up into 4th place. I feel sorry for Barça though |

This isn't over, that hilly stage is ripe for an ambush. Maillet doing well again though, while Elissonde and Gadret look set to nick a few points. Really hope we can cling on. |

Efimkin, attack later...
Topchanyuk, attack earlier...
But at least into the top 10 now...
EDIT: Vrecer is surprisingly strong btw, 27th GC with 74MO, Middle East with a TT might really suit him

Nice to see Orozco on the offensive and Zurita being mentioned in the finale, although we don't have any GC placings to show for it, at least we're being active

Looks like 2nd place is locked up. But, I wouldn't mind at all if De la Fluente stole this on the final stage. Would surely make up for what happened here in 2012.

Nerz and Heider basically changing positions, I can't complain about that.
The last stage might well be more crucial than any mountain stage here, it's important to not miss the right move.
I still hope Kelderman will do the right thing, which could be either go for the win or drag Nerz along to prevent time loss.
To make an interesting comparison: Points-wise, winning the stage would offset neglecting Nerz and him dropping to 12th overall.
No idea what will be the right choice until we're in that situation, please don't fuck this up on the last day...

There go's our breakaway record, but Peter gets another good stage result and climbs up the GC. I'm happy with that stage as it sets up a nice final day out for the team, and for the race in general

Yes! We finally salvage something from this tour! So chuffed with getting the KoM lead after so many breaks and no success. There aren't any points available tomorrow, so I think it's safe to say it's in the bag (barring any crashes)?
Just a pity that there aren't any big gaps created on these mountain stages. It's strange because from what I've seen in PCM13 is that generally there is a big selection on these kind of stages.

Solid racing from my team throughout the race, just no outstanding results.
Top 10 is good, Efimkin in 20th and Vrecer in 25th are also decent, especially Vrecer who I expected to lose a lot of time, but this is cool, giving me some hope for the Middle East.
Also 4th in young riders with Artem and 4th in the teams... This race will score me a few points

4th is decent, but that's one goal failed already. Though taking out Maillet and De La Fuente and it could've been 2nd in the end... Sad. Oh well, congrats jph. |

Our race wasn't too bad. Got 2 or 3 stage podiums, KOM jersey and 15th overall with Niyonshuti which is more than I expected from him. I really wanted a stage win though, but I can't complain about how it all turned out!
Thanks a lot Tsmoha for the reports and the timing! For me in SA there was always a new report during lunch and another during the evening! Really enjoyed this race (besides for the AI)

Fantastic, a first ever stage race win for us. I make it about 22 pprd, which is incredible for Tachira. Thanks for the fast paced and excellent reports tsmoha |

An exciting stage race with many attacks from Feillu! A stage win and a few points from that top 10 finish from Tuulhangai is good enough for me, I hope this sets the tone for the rest of the season!

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!

Really enjoyed your reports Tsmoha, the pace and detail was excellent imo. Yes their could have been more detail on sprints and perhaps gap settings could have been more generous - but it isn't your fault their was some naff AI at times.
great win for Maillet - scoring high at Tachira really does set the season off. For other stage racers this was a fairly disappointing exercise - it will be interesting to see how the season develops in stage racing.

No pointer for us here. Can't complain considering the squad we sent here. Great reports and I hope the ``easy`` climbs were the reason for no gaps and it will be gaps on later mountain stage otherwise this is going to be a very, very long season.

So I make that a grand total of three points scored here for us
Despite getting into a few breaks, when it really mattered we just didn't really show up, so this must be considered a bit of a waste of racedays.
Congratulations to Scorchio on a nice win on the stage, good to see our fellow Colombian team having some success

What f*cking amazing race for B3B! Two stage wins puts us level with the entire previous seasons tally already. Add to that a selection of other stage Top10's to bring in a selection of points. Then we have Gorka sneaking into the GC Top10 thanks to the two hilly stages with two clever breakaway rides. Panayotov hits my target of a Top20 GC but it perhaps should have been a Top15. Either way it was a solid rider in a tricky race. Plus there were 9 breaks in 10 stages, a ridiculous effort for such a long race. Finally to top it all off we stole the Team Competition, a feat i never ever ever considered being remotely possible. Really really amazing from a team destined for relegation, with the new signings bringing new life and a new urgency to proceedings.
The race overall might not have provided the big battle everyone expected but it provided a range of action and new tactical aspects. It forced riders to think and act differently. Some will be annoyed yes but that final GC is not entirely unreasonable considering the route.
Brilliant reports put the cherry on the cake that was Tachira
