Roadmarks are overrated when the environment is so gorgeous.
I'm speechless about your output today. You've done an incredible job fixing all these beautiful, detailed stages this evening, must been a hole lot of work.
Amazing job done... multiple thumbs up!!! |

wow great stage, very hard slopes. I like the idea of putting just one tough climb into the route. But do you really think this is the hardest stage? There are just 150km, and the Climb is just 10km. What gaps do you had in your test?
The hardest stage is probably the Saint-Bernard TT, but I'd say that this is the hardest road stage, yes. The Zoncolan is super hard.

Judging by the screens, this Giro must give a real good gameplay experience: amazing slopes, lots of wide roads, distanced road points (gives better gameplay from what I've played).. I'll certainly be trying it in the next days. Excellent job!
Btw, roads in cities also have road marks And Astana in pink?
Damn, I forgot to add those again! I'll fix that before uploading it into the stage db. Is that OK?
And yeah, it's pretty weird to see Astana in pink on the last stage. The reason is that I simmed through the first 20 stages just to have leader's jerseys on the last one. Kreuziger doesn't seem to complain.

Yeah, it really was a lot of work yesterday. Was really tired when I finished, but I think it was worth all the hours.

If anyone wonders what's next on my to-do-list, I can tell you that my main focus will be on starting up my new story, as soon as the Daily DB is released.
That doesn't mean that I wont be creating any stages though. No more GT variants, at least for now, but I've already got the .gpx files for some 2012 races that are missing from the game. Will probably work on those stages now and then. I'll stay around the stage editor for sure.

It's ok Then stage 21 is the only one with differences between first download/stage DB?
Btw, I was already thinking "why simulate 20 stages, just tick off the 19 and leave a mountain one".. then I remembered that for whatever reason Cyanide took this off this year *facepalm*

Actually I started from scratch yesterday.
The fact that all of the stages included some sort of circuit cut the work by quite a bit. But yeah, I did have too much spare time today.

Haven't been doing a lot of work in the stage editor during the past few weeks, as the Giro and Burgos really drained a lot of motivation. Anyway, I've started to work on replacing some more fake stages in the game.
Stage four and five from Tour de l'Ain were missing, so I've started with them. The first of those is done, and I'll start working on the other one soonish.

When you're getting that experienced in creating good stages, profile, road etc. I would try to make the profiles them selves more realistic, not just even without jumps up and down. The climb to Lagunas has percentages up to 17% in the end and up to 14% before that. Even though the length and average percentage is correct, it's even more realistic with correct percentages on the climb. The climb can still be even and have a good gameplay with almost 100% realistic percentages.
Still, keep up the good work.

@ Johan92 - I know that it's possible, but I still prefer avoiding slopes above 15%. I'll think about what you said in future stages though.
@ nathounet87 - Thanks, that's great to hear!
Here's the newly uncovered Galibier stage that'll be included in next year's Giro!
