He was constantly climbing with the likes of Hermans in Utah and was the last rider to stay with the top 3 climbers Danielson, Horner and Anacona once, so that's definitely a good move for both sides.

It is finally official... https://www.teamsk...sPU9led.97

Glad I called this one Cool

I am hearing Gatto to CCC. Would be some signing. We'll see in upcoming days. Gatto has offers from Nerri I believe too and for me Neri should be his choice anyway.

Hopefully if they get a good sprint train organised for him then he should deliver the wins Wink

Several sites have now Edward King as confirmed rider for Cannondale in 2015, although I can't find any news confirming it.

I wonder what has he done to secure a new contract above some other guys in Garmin and Cannondale who had much more noticeable performances in recent years.

You can`t have leaders only.
King is a solid domestique working for the leaders.

Ted King is also a tremendously popular man because of his blog and twitter feed. That's good publicity for the team.

Tim Roe will join Drapac next year. After taking a timeout from cycling in 2013 (back and hip pain), he comes off a solid comeback year spent with Budget Forklifts, finishing 2nd overall in Australian National Road Series.

Will follow him closely Smile

Roe had a great season in the NRS, moving to Drapac gives him a pathway back to the top level and I wish him well after the injuries he has suffered.
Drapac also signed Sam Spokes from OPQS feeder team Etixx

As has been sated by others, you can't only have leaders. Outside of his media profile the guy is a handy domestique, no star but someone who will work his guts out for the teams goal, teams need riders like this

I'm aware of the fact, but still I've never seen him doing the job that other quite a bit below par WT rider couldn't do. Good domestiques usually get their chance somewhere in the smaller races and can achieve some kind of results, but Ted King doesn't have any. I'm not convinced the guy is as good as some other who were available to do the same job for the same money. Or maybe it would've been better to give an opportunity for another youngster. I think I would rather have Phillip Gaimon still in the team.

I like him though, so I will welcome him in my favourite team.

I also have thoughts that the whole Cannondale merge will not make the Garmin's roster any stronger. They have Ted King and Marangoni, who never were and never will be as good as the average WT rider IMO. Moser, who had a very disappointing season. Mohoric and Bettiol who are probably still too young to contribute much at the WT level. Koren is a very solid all-around domestique, but nothing more. Formolo and Villella are undoubtedly talented guys, but perhaps not at their primes, yet. In short term, I don't think it will really make the team stronger, and in the long term, some of these good talents may leave the team before Cannondale will really start profiting from them.

I still think it will make it weaker this year. They get a few good young talents like Formolo and Mojoric, but they didn't get Viviani, they lost their other sprinter and a lot of quality domestiques in exchange for subpar ones. In a few years it will be ok, but for now it is a loss.

Well, i would argue a bit about the word "solid", because he was absolutely horrible in every race for Sagan last year, but maybe he is good for first 50kms, before he was dropped Pfft

I think that's pretty much it. He works a lot early on and then just sits up. A bit like O'Grady used to do at Saxo.
