Thanks all.
@baia: It`s just one flat stage left. So I won`t win it probably.
Do you mean the great graphic? Would indeed be a big step forwards, wouldn`t it? |

Had no time for the final stage today. Tomorrow I just have to work 6 hours, so you can be sure of another update.
Also Milan San Remo will be played this weekend.

Tirreno Adriatico - Stage 7
Civitanova Marche - San Benedetto del Tronto
After some minor hills on the first third of todays stage the riders will enter a town circuit, where they have to ride several laps before the finish.
Maybe Farrar can get a nice result here but also our GC contenders will give their best as the result today will be important for the overall ranking.
Jack Bobridge again in the group of the day. Proni (Acqua), Leukemans (Quick), Malori (Ceramica), Huzarski (Farnese), Portal (Ag2r) and De Lis (Euskaltel) are his companions.
Especially Leukemans with just +3'47 could be a danger for Bennati.
HTC-Highroad is doing the whole work for Cavendish. All their riders but Cav, Clarke and Albasini are working now.
With 16km the group is caught directly behind the intermediate sprint. So no chance for Hesjedal or Fuglsang to gain time here.
There were two big sprint trains. One was for yesterdays winner Leezer, where Farrar and most other sprinters were.
The 2nd big train was with Napolitano in front and Cavendish behind him. As no other big sprinters were there Hesjedal and Fuglsang took this opportunity.
Soon it was clear that Farrar and his train got exhausted much more as they were riding too much in the wind.
So Napolitano with the win ahead of Cavendish and Fuglsang!!!.
Also Hesjedal on the 4th with an great result while Farrar wasn`t able to get a top 10.
Fuglsang improves on the 4th and Hesjedal will be 5th in the overall. Good results for our team but still an disappointing first half in March with two very easy variants.
Daniele Bennati wins Tirreno Adriatico says enough I think...

Great result with Hesjedal and Fugslang, but WTF Congratz to Bennati after dissapointing Tour de France last year, may he be the main favourite now

At least he will be one of the big bets for MSR as also Boonen and Cancellara I think.
Haven`t played it yet but think it will come later today. |

"The Spring classic" or "La classicissima" is the first monument of the season. It`s the longest professional cycling race with 298km.
It`s normally a classic for the sprinters but there is also a good chance for attacks on the last two harder climbs: The Cipressa and the Poggio.
Record winner is Eddy Merckx with 7 victories.
Fabian Cancellara won it three times now. He is again the top favourite here.
Can he do the MSR PCM triple in the third season?
Results in 2011
1 | Fabian Cancellara | Leopard Trek | 2 | Daniele Bennati | Liquigas - Cannondale | 3 | Heinrich Haussler | Saxobank - Sungard | 4 | Tom Boonen | Quick Step - Innergetic | 5 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky Professional Cycling Team | 6 | Philippe Gilbert | Liquigas - Cannondale | 7 | Thor Hushovd | Team Katusha | 8 | Gert Steegmans | Team RadioShack | 9 | Alessandro Ballan | Lampre-ISD | 10 | Oscar Freire | Rabobank |
Cancellara did it again after 2008 and 2010. Bennati won the sprint of the chasing group ahead of Haussler, who will be our leader this year.
Except of Freire the whole top 10 is here again in 2012.
Garmin squad in 2012
We have an extremely strong squad here and hope for a nice result. Haussler will be our leader in a possible sprint and will be supported by Goss, Fischer, Maaskant and Boom. This really sounds like a strong sprint train but this classic is too long for this I think.
Alternatively we have two great riders with Hesjedal and Vansummeren, who are supported by Kessiakoff to attack on the Cipressa or the Poggio.

Cancellara and Gilbert might be the strongest riders for an attack. Otherwise you have to watch especially the sprinters with good sprinting stats like Bennati, Boonen or Haussler and the brilliant top sprinters like Cavendish, Greipel or Napolitano.
But also the category of good puncheurs with good sprint stats like Pozzato, Breschel, Hagen, Sagan or Ginanni have great chances.
So it`s hard to predict this race. |

@ Tsmoha: Thanks. Hoped so, but read yourself
Milano - San Remo
293 long and hard kilometers. Especially the last two hills, Cipressa and Poggio are great for a late attack. Hesjedal proved this two years ago, that he is able to. Especially Cancellara won it in the last two years with late attacks, so we have to try there.
Txurruka (Euskaltel), Paulinho, Bewley (RadioShack), Ibáñez (Cafe), P.Velits (Astana), Brulmans (Omega), Viviani (Ceramica), Henderson (Sky), Kondrut (Farnese), Molmy (Cofidis), Pavarin (Colnago) and Nielsen (Androni) build the group of the day.
Especially Velits, Txurruka and maybe Paulinho could do well, but with almost 300km to go it will be very hard.
Several teams are doing the pace now on the Passo del Turchino. HTC, Liquigas, Lampre and Rabobank. None of them is in the break. Garmin and Leopard are still waiting in the peloton.
With the Le Manie the first real climb for the riders. Velits is the strongest uphill and leads the group.
The peloton had more problems there and so it splits into 4 groups. Luckily all 8 Garmin riders and most favourites were in the first big group with ~70 riders. Another 70 riders with Gerrans, Flecha, Martens, Ballan and Breschel is following with about 90s, while some other riders like Kirchen, F.Schleck and Lövkvist are even further behind and might already lost it here,
In front of the climb onto the Cipressa Velits is the last of the attackers but will also been caught soon.
Pozzato attacked on the last meters to the top and has a small advance now. Two years ago he tried it together with Cancellara and Hesjedal, too but there Cancellara was stronger than him.
Vansummeren also tried it but he had no chance to escape.
Normally Hesjedal was supposed to try it on the Poggio but he already struggled here and might not have enough energy.
Haussler, Hesjedal, Vansummeren and Maaskant are still in the small group behind the Italian. Unfortunately none of our riders has a good daily form (0,0,0, -1 Vans.). But Haussler is still the best of our riders.
With more than 1min advance Pozzato goes on the descent of the Poggio. This might be enough for him. Haussler is still feeling good in the small group.
Pozzato wins Milano San Remo the 2nd time in his career. Bennati almost overtook him with a strong sprint but again he is just 2nd ahead of Cancellara, who didn`t attacked here surprisingly.
But most annyoing is that stupid bug, that I noticed the 2nd time now in the last races but never before. Haussler felt very well on the descent and had more than half of his energy left, I had Bennati`s wheel but instead of following him he felt back more and more. I tried to get another wheel, did a 99% pace, 99% dot, tried everything but he was just overtaken by all other riders.
With 3km I started to sprint. But no matter if following others or sprint on his own, he had no speed.
So all 4 left Garmin riders finished on the last 4 places of the group!!!
Except of Haussler it`s ok as they were tired but Haussler felt good and should have sprinted for the podium.
Damn end Hope this won`t ever happen again.
Therefore the bad hilly sprinters like Cavendish, Napolitano or Steegmans had no problem at all to enter the top 10.

I never had this bug before except of one time last week, when I checked if I have installed 1.0.4.2 afterwards.
The normal sprint bug is fine for me as the result is realistic with it and actually I never really have it more than 2 times in a season. But this one is just not realistic at all.
After 2 bad MSR in a row I start to really hate this race, too
@ Pellizotti
BTW. I just added your Catalunya variant stage into my game as I don`t want another podium with a prologue specialists there

Ha, Pozzato said he was going to win MSR this year (IRL) so maybe he can.

Thanks all for the comments. Really hope that I won`t have that bug again in the next races.
Just saw some funny "Just in PCM" stuff.
Skil-Shimano was already funny last season with Ricco and Kiserlovski. But they became even better this year:
Sorry for the German language, forgot to change to English before. But quite sure that all of you can identify the stats.
