Would you mind giving a short English summary of what he's saying?

He says that Valverde should have jumped onto Costa's wheel. Angrily. Quite angrily.

I don't know if his anger is right, but tactically he has a point. It'd have either annihilated Costa's chase, either caused a four men sprint where Valverde would have won (most likely). |

Hmm. Seems to be that Cance is the favorite for the WC RR ahead of Sagan. I highly doubt the intelligence of these bookmakers...

Well I've only seen a clip of the last handful of kilometres and likely won't get any chance to see the whole race but it seems like it was quite exciting.
As for Costa's win. Meh. I doubt he will do much with the jersey next year. I'd be more worried that this win would make him or his team think that he could have a shot at winning GT next year where that is really not something he should be trying for.

Probably he will do something better than Gilbert this year. |

I'm of the opinion that Gilbert actually had quite a good season for a 31 year old who is clearly on the decline. It is just that people judge him as if he were still the 2011 version of himself, which he is clearly not and clearly shouldn't be seen as.

Do you really think that Gilbert isn't capable of more than 1 victory in a whole season?

Nah. Most people realise that 2011 was an abnormality. If they were judging him as if he still was the Ibarguren version of himself, people wouldn't say this is a poor season, they'd be asking him to retire and to refund BMC for being a fraud.

Just looking at some pictures of him, he definatly weighed a couple of kilo's more in March-April then now.
Also: Gilbert peaked right when Valverde was out.

Not sure what's the relevance of that. Valverde's biggest win since his comeback is the Vuelta a AndalucÃa.

That was interesting.
I can't put my finger on it but if I'm not mistaken last year Freire also had some sort of disagreement with Piti regarding the team's tactics.
Now the questions is: who's he gonna piss off next year?

maybe Costa wins the tittle but Huzarski was the best rider today. over 240km in breakaway in that wonderful weather. so sad that with 9 guys polish team with Kwiato, Majka or Niemiec and Paterski was best at 19th place :<

Fell asleep just into the final lap. Why do l always do this?
Great to see Costa win. Definetly wouldn't have had him in my list of potential winners. Also, fabulous performance from Simon Clarke, who had no teammates in the last 100k, to finish 7th was a remarkable result. |

Well, a dark horse has won, I couldn't complain though, Costa is a strong rider. I'm content and Happy.

Big congrats to Costa and all his fans, congratulations Portugal. I think victory is even better, when it was against spaniards, who just totally cocked it up. Well, Valverde did, Purito made everything perfect...i dont like this style of win much, but it was smart indeed.
Overall not the best of WCs from my point of view, drama for last 10 minutes only...
Sagan 6th, not bad in such a hard course, it was really for pure climbers in the end, so great results for likes Sagan, Grivko and Clarke. Peter again without teammates for last 100kms is not helping much.
Stybar did also very good with 25th place in such a hard race. And Barta with great advertisment for czech cycling, my hero of the race, together with Huzsarski, more than 200kms in such a poring conditions.
And to finish it off, big LOL on GB, one of the worst performances ever seen.
