Shame Colbrelli got 3rd and couldn't quite make it, but last 16 is more than I had initially hoped. Good luck for those who are left and thanks Bikex as usual!
Definitely surprising final! I forgot to take a picture from the first semi final.
Greipel had a little bad luck, being boxed in. If the finish line was a few metres further he would've made it through. Kittel surprisingly just was weaker than Van Poppel and Demare in his matchup.
wow from the last two posts I thought that ICL was gone great to see it going again though this race does not tackle me anymore with our horrible failure here
Richmond Criterium, the last cobbled Worlc Cup race of the season, lived up to its expectations and delivered great racing. With lots more than 100km to go there were some crashes also involving team leaders and race favourites. The teams not involved increased the pace and put the race on fire. With 120 kilometres to go only 30 riders would be left in the leading group. The coverage starts at about 40km to go and 22 riders still in contention:
Top 10 is probably the best we could've hoped for in Richmond, so well done to Boom. The season's petering out after a strong start. All our hopes are now on Colombia to try to climb up the standings but that might be difficult given the points differences...
Hm, 3rd in the "bunch" sprint is pretty good from Cancellara, just a shame he missed out on the attack. Anyway it's still probably about what could have been expected from him in this race.
Thanks a lot for the report and bringing this back Bikex.
