I'm still shaking from the antecipation. What a day. Isso has it right, Costa has some kind of natural race analysis, some sort of innate talent on game theory or something.
Nibali went beyond imaginable today. So strong, after the crash. Did not deserve to go home empty-handed. The most powerfull today.
Valverde screwed up a possible gold by countering after Rodriguez was caught the first time.
One has to feel for Rodriguez. There is one man who seems to be bound for suffering. So many near-misses. He deserves some hugely important race by now, more than one even. |

Very impressive by Grivko, he was the one bringing Nibali back after his crash.

Nothing against Costa's win, but there were 2 guys who deserved it more. And Valverde is just incredibly dumb. |

I don't think that there are too many people that are negative about him winning. It's just that the couple of those fools who can't accept it will bitch about it like thousand times. |

Exciting first half, then boring, then a 2nd level guy takes it
I don't think you can call him a 2nd level rider. Specially not after this.

Valverde screwed up a possible gold by countering after Rodriguez was caught the first time.
He did the exact opposite, he let the gap fall again

Not taking anything away from Costa but that was a shit race. When you look at all the other races from across the Championships this was f*ck ass boring. An awful lot of negative racing from people ruined a lot of it.
Great ride from Nibali, he really deserved it (yes he was helped earlier on, but what team would not do that? no moral high ground to be taken, deal with it) chasing hard having forced a lot of that selection.
Well played by Spain, Valv just sitting and waiting while Purito built the gap. Costa perhaps should have contributed more to chasing Purito earlier, but he timed it perfectly.
Purito so unlucky. Not sure what more he could have done there to be honest.

Great race! Great victory of Rui Costa!
Valverde made Rodriguez and Spain's lost
In the money time, we didn't see at all Spartacus and Sagan |

Yup, the finish reminded me a little bit of liege. Purito attacks, Martin/Costa bridges, Martin/Costa wins eventually. Wish Martin would've been there today.

Huh? It was like infinitely better than the last two? Still not really good for a Worlds race though.

And if he had Roche with him, with the form Roche had in the Vuelta, even more dangerous. But I guess we can just hope he does Lombardia and performs well.
