Good luck in Spain, hopefully Maxime can show again some great rides like in France But if he is not able to take the victory, hopefully Levi or Klödi will take it. |

After the great signing of Boasson Hagen yesterday, I´m glad to present you the ´second best´transfer for Columbia!
It´s a kind of rider, we´ve missed a lot in our team, a cobblestone expert. He´s the only one, who is able to keep it up with Cancellara or Tom Boonen at the classics
Let´s welcome Filippo `Pippo`Pozzato

Hope for a good result in Spain with Martin or Monfort.
Pozzato is indeed a great signing. Not just in the cobbled races, also in the Ardennes or other hilly stages. Plus he might be the best sprinter of all puncheurs. Sounds like lots of stage wins with Hagen and Pozzato, Greipel and Cavendish |

I´m really glad to welcome him in our team for next season as he is one of my favourite riders in cycling! He is an amazing time trialist and got a great result at this years Tour de France for RadioShack! Hopefully he will finish his great career in our team
Let´s welcome Levi Leipheimer

@all, thank you very much..I had a wonderful christmas This report comes just a bit later as I promised, so I´m sorry for that!
The first stage is a short prologue in Assen about 4,8 kilometres. It´s the first possibilty to see some shapes of a few favourites. As the best time trialist Fabian Cancellara isn´t there in Spain, ...(I´m sure he´s practising for the ITT World Championships after his defeat against Tony Martin....)
there are some riders who can take this prologue today. Such as Brajkovic, David Millar, Dave Zabriskie, Luis Leon Sanchez, Pinotti, Wiggins, Levi Leipheimer and of course Tony Martin, who is in an amazing shape so far
First rider with a good time was Vinokourov. He rode a good prologue in 7 minutes and 57 seconds. As he was one of the first riders today, it´s not sure if this was a great time
Tejay Van Garderen wasn´t able to beat Vinokourov but with 7 seconds to him, he can be happy. It´s going to be interesting to see him in such a hard stage race! Looking forward if he is a big help for our captain in the mountains
David Millar is also a great time trialist but it seems he isn´t in a pretty good shape by now. This time was still enough to beat Van Garderen by 4 seconds but Vino was still in front
Terpstra could be one of those riders, taking a stage like this. And as he crossed the finish line after 4800 metres, he was in front. Beating Vino by 1 second, brought him the leading position
But his time didn´t hold for a long time. Pozzato, another great signing for Columbia, was on fire! He was really surprising today as he was able to finish in 7 minutes and 54 seconds! 2 seconds in front of Terpstra..welcome to HTC
Dave Zabriskie was very disappointing today. He was 21 seconds slower than Pozzato which means he isn´t in a good shape at the moment
One of those favourites for today was Brajkovic. He´s one of those helpers for Leipheimer in the next 3 weeks. But with 17 seconds behind Pippo Pozzato he didn´t show a good shape. If he really wants to help Levi, he has to improve a lot
Another disappointing time came by the Spanish ITT Champ Luis Leon Sanchez. He got just the same result like Brajkovic a few moments before
Indeed Marco Pinotti was 5 seconds behind Pozzato in the finish but we should be happy with this result as Pinotti isn´t in the best shape yet
Next one was Levi Leipheimer, who´s really enjoying the last stages in a RadioShack jersey. He was the best one of all these favourites for the overall win. But he couldn´t beat Pozzato as well. But with only 4 seconds behind him, he might be happy
Our best time trialist at the moment is Tony Martin. Last week he was able to beat Cancellara. And today he was really fast again! Finally he destroyed Pozzato´s time in 7 minutes and 47 seconds, 7 seconds faster than Pippo!
Carlos Sastre is one of the biggest overall contender in Spain. But we all know that his skills as a time trialist aren´t famous! At least he was faster than Zabriskie but with 25 seconds to Martin, he won´t be happy
Igor Anton had the same trouble like Sastre. But he was 3 seconds better than his Spanish mate!
Andy Klöden was one of the last riders crossing the finish line today. and he crossed it with a terrible time! He lost 29 seconds to Tony Martin today..that´s a lot for him
Our leader Maxime Monfort was on the road now! His shape wasn´t great before this prologue but he was still able to get nice result. Well, he lost 17 seconds to Martin but only 6 to Leipheimer and that´s the most important thing for us
Bradley Wiggins was today´s last rider. We expected a great time by him but he couldn´t perform really well today. He lost 22 seconds to Martin on 4,8 kilometres! That´s too much for such a great rider. Well, I´m looking forward to the first mountain arrival. There we´re going to see, who is able to win this Vuelta. Tony Martin takes this first stage which makes me really happy for this moment
