Have we ever seen Valverde this strong? I mean, he's practically doing whatever he wants. |

Indeed, leading the victory count this season at the moment ahead of Greipel and Modolo

I wouldn't take yesterday's result too seriously, Movistar had 11 riders at the start, then they had 5 men in a 9 men break (including Valverde).
Once Valverde attacked with 11 km to go the gap increased so rapidly (about 15 seconds per km) that it was obvious his team mates were neutralizing the chasers efforts, or that nobody was seriously chasing.
Tour du Pays Basque should tell us more about his current form, with really touch routes and serious opponents. |

You are right, of course. But I'm not only talking about this race, just his racing in general this season so far |

You are right Movistar was very strong in the start and in the break and that explains the time diference of 1 min for Slagter.
As for Valverde i think is more agressive this year instead of chasing wheels and the wheels he followed this year were good ones,Sky at Andaluzia and it was on a stage race,in the Ardennes i think we will have an attacking Valverde. |

Bouhanni's 4th win of the season already.
Also a surprising sprint result from Haas. I know he has a good kick but still he shouldn't be beating several of those guys.

Not sure if you surprised by that, last year he had 4 wins at this stage too, very similar season to last year for him actually to this point.
Haas indeed seems to have really improved in his sprints lately.

Oh for sure, I know. That doesn't mean it isn't noteworthy - still a great record to have in early April.

Yep, not too bad. Modolo the sprinter of the season to this point for me though ( doesn't mean he's fastest this year btw, Kittel obviously by far is ), very consistent across all the races so far.

Ahlstrand's first win for Giant - Shimano. They really are developing their riders. Viking90's prayers are heard.
Circuit de la Sarthe - Pays de la Loire, Stage 2: Ancenis - Angers (88 km) (2.1)
It could become better for Sweden and Giant if Ludvigsson wins the TT this afternoon.
