Yeah phenomenal by Costa. The dude just turned 19! Also Powless second so already a better l'Avenir than America has had in a long time. Now to see how they fair in the mountains.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

German speaking Eurosport boardcasted 45minutes of the Tour de l'Avenir today. Gotta say that was more entertaining than the whole Tour and Vuelta so far.
Plus it was a stage from Val d'Isère to Valmeinier and we all know that not much beats the west alpes.

Does this count as a pcm.daily win? Grin

IAM really doing well ever since the announcment that they would fold. Just a tad too late, team would have deserved more time tbh

Tour des Fjords? More like Tour Disaster! That has to be among the worst organizing I've ever seen during a cycling race. Those guys are even hosting the world championship next year...

A professional cycling race with open road...

Really embarrassing organisation. The main problem is that it seems that very few actually knew there was a cycling event at all. It's ofc difficult with a small tier race on a wednesday in a big city in the rush hour, but that is no excuse. Embarressed of my home town atm.

Boonen wins the Brussels Cycling classic ahead of Demare, Bouhanni and Modolo.

Damn, I might put some money on him for the worlds..

would that be the biggest gap between two world championships by a single rider?

edit: I think so, LeMond was 6 years, Maertens was 5 years, van Steenbergen was 7 years. Boonen would be 11 years

Rik Van Steenbergen. 1º in 1949, 2º in 1956

I'll raise you: Keetie van Oosten-Hage '68-'76. One year longer than Van Steenbergen Pfft
Beryl Burton can equal Rik, 60-67. And Marianne Vos comes just one short with 06-12.

Just for interest.

Boonen still got great speed in his legs efter +200 km, great to see.

Riis123
Please, let Boonen win Worlds and the Roubaix in the stripes! (Flanders would be even cooler, but thats highly unlikely for the big guy at this point).

Good racing at the Tour of Britain where Cummings looks good for the overall after taking nearly a minute on GC rivals Dumoulin and Dennis. Poels noticeable in his absence and crossed the line all alone many minutes down - not sure what happened there.

Vermote in the break all day and the only one who could stay with Cummings late attack and then take the win.

Shonak
Etixx just keep on winning, they are the definite stage hunters. 4 wins in the last 3 days.
